It's a bittersweet day 2 day. We lost him 1 year ago, but he will live 4ever in his music. I choose 2 celebrate him and his legacy today.

Every day that has gone by in the past year, he has been in my thoughts. Almost every day in the past year, I have played his music.

I woke up 2 "Let's Go Crazy," like I have 4 the past few months. I love starting my day hearing "Dearly beloved, we r gathered here today 2 get through this thing called life." (My cat knows those words mean breakfast is coming soon.)

I wore a purple shirt. (I wear purple frequently...it's my favourite color, and that has nothing 2 do with Prince.)

.

I wore my necklace, including 2 work. (I never wear necklaces because I teach young children who have autism.)

.

I enjoyed the tributes to Prince on the Tom Joyner Morning Show while driving 2 work.

.

I listened 2 "Diamonds and Pearls." I listened 2 "The Beautiful Ones." Those are my 2 favourite Prince songs.

.

I wore my purple apron at work, just as I do every day.

.

I played "Starfish and Coffee" as the transition song in my classroom all week. (I've played it during numerous weeks this school year.)

.

I'm watching "Purple Rain" at the moment.

.

Today was a pretty normal day, for the most part...a little more somber. Nonetheless, I choose 2 celebrate his life and the legacy of his great music.

At the moment, I am watching Purple Rain with Shy. I tried 2 get her 2 wear my love symbol necklace 4 a photo, but she wasn't feelin' that. Oh well. (Pardon the mess. It's Friday and I'm a little worn out from the week.)

These are totally new 2 me. Where were these taken? 4 some reason, the church/cathedral from the Come photo shoot reminds me of the Marienplatz in Munich (which I have seen in person).

Thank you for the infromation Lovejunky. Unfortunately, I live in Philadelphia and I'm a teacher, so I can't take off a week from work during the school year to come to Minnesota. (If I was able to take off from work, I would have made an effort to come for the celebration at PP. My uncle and aunt live in Golden Valley, MN, so I could have stayed with them.)

An exquisite song, definitely in my top 5 favourite Prince songs!
