TOP 10 BEST PRINCE ALBUMS OF ALL TIME

I know this has been done to death... But since PRINCE died I'm sure all of us have revisted and re appreciated many albums and view some in a new light...

Knowing now that there will be no more "NEW" albums from Prince except what's in the vault... What do you feel are the TOP 10 BEST PRINCE ALBUMS OF ALL TIME.

My list.

1. PURPLE RAIN

2. SIGN O' THE TIMES

3. 1999

4. DIRTY MIND

5. PARADE

6. LOVESEXY

7. CONTROVERSY

8. AROUND THE WORLD IN A DAY

9. THE BLACK ALBUM

10. FOR YOU

**Graffiti Bridge gets an honorable mention. QUESTION OF U, ELEPHANTS & FLOWERS, JOY IN REPETITION, WE CAN FUNK, THIEVES IN THE TEMPLE, some real amazing songs on ONE album.

Definitely for me. I have already played them more than 1999 and I got the double album 1999 the day it came out. I do think 1999 is really good, but too cold and repetitve to be a favorite of mine.

1979-1989. Prince through Batman.

The best prince album is The Gold Experience, then Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic. The best NPG album is Exodus.

The best post- prince new Prince album is probably 3121.

I like For You, and I like yacht rock, but ...meh. It's not to say I don't love other Prince records, but we're talking the best.

Arg..."top ten?" IDK! I've loved him since 1983.....I loved everything before then up until 1990 when my life drastically changed. Been collecting since he passed. Was rocking out and dancing to Crystal Ball on my ipod tonight...doing laundry...telling hubby (veteran) about Alfred then burst into tears during Strays of the World...been blubbering for half an hour. What a gift Prince was! No way to choose the top ten but surpised no one chose Crystal Ball yet. Oh well. Doesn't matter...genious is hard to define. Peace and love!

I truly cannot do a top ten list because below the unmoveable top TWO my favourites change depending on my mood etc!

However, hands down top two...

2. Purple Rain

Yes. That's why I didn't put it in my toop 10. Even though it is a bit uneven, it has so many great songs.

Whew! I thought it was just me! I have to agree with you I have been a fan since 1979 and it is impossible to do a top 10 list I loved all his albums!
