21st of April a date many of here will never forget. For many of us this Friday will be an emotional day.

On the anniversary of the purple one departing from this existence what Prince song will you first listen to?

For me it will be 'Sometimes in Snows in April'.....and since Prince was a album guy I will follow it up with the 'The Truth', his acoustic peformance is so cathartic on that album.

I will obviously then be following up with the usual line up...Purple Rain etc.

I will let my mood at the time dictate, but I have purposely saving myself for ATWIAD and Parade. I know at some point later i want to play AOA.

Good question that I have been thinking about this week. I agree with the last post, I may just go with whatever pops in my head and let that play itself out during the day. I have also thought that Purple Rain is going to be needed somewhere through the day as well as Sometimes it Snows In April. Comeback and There is Lonely, and Empty Room also come to mind . It's going to be hard...I also think I am going to need some upbeat stuff too...My Name is Prince was on my mind earlier today as a must-listen to song on Friday. Also, Let's Work and Endorphinemachine must also be played that day. I feel like I am going to want to honor the grieving side of me as well the side of me that wants to BLAST his amazing music out my car windows for the world to hear!! I would love to hear what people actually play on the 21st....

Arboretum... and when it gets to the end and you hear his footsteps walking out of the studio and the door closing behind him...

Probably my 2 favourites, Diamonds and Pearls and The Beautiful Ones. After I first heard Prince died, I started singing Diamonds and Pearls. I'll hear Starfish and Coffee a lot because I'm using it this week as the transition song in my classroom (and not just this week, but I use it at least once a month).

It's odd...because, in New Zealand, Prince died on April 22nd. At least, that's when I woke up and got the texts about his death. So, tomorrow is a false dawn for me. Not sure what song I'm going to go for...it may not even be a Prince track.

I am not sure... i currently have a cdr with the first 7 albums in the car...but i might make a mix of something today

SOTT has been playing nonstop in my car for the past few weeks. I'm on Disc 2 these days. That will not change tomorrow. Each time, I've been repeating "Adore, which I can finally listen to again," 4-5 times. For the longest, after P's passing, I could not even listen to it. It has to be one of the greatest ballads, on one of the greatest albums, EVER!! I will 4ever Prince Rogers Nelson.
