Prince And His Relationships; Astrologically Speaking

I had promised to do an analysis of Prince and his relationships from an astrological point of view. I wanted to do an analysis (synastry) of the three main women in his life (Vanity, Mayte and Manuella) but was asked about others as well. So in addition to them, I will do an analysis of these also: Sheila E., Susannah M., Susan Moonsie, Carmen Electra, Appolonia, , Kim Bassinger, Nona Gaye (who has the worst synastry with him, by the way), Anna Fantastic, and Andy Allo (who has the best synastry with him). It's been said that every relationship is a mirror. And that the universe will perfectly align us with those who mirror back to us the space of self-love that we've created. In this way, our relationships are our greatest spiritual assignments; they magnify whatever it is that's going on within us. That said, I wanna touch on a few things in his natal chart that tie in with his relationships with not only women but other relationships as well. Throughout this analysis I will be be quoting verbatim from what I call my astrological Bibles: The Astrology Handbook, and The Astrology of Human Relationships (both by authors, Frances Sakoian & Louis S. Acker) Since discovering them in 1985, I have refered to them religiously for doing charts and synastry. Sure, I could paraphrase it, but I don't want y'all to think I'm just making this stuff up, plus it gives y'all a chance to see what I'm seeing and add a few observations of you're own. Anything in bold and/or italics is strictly my doings to enhance things that resonate with me, or things that I or others may want to touch on. First his moon in Pisces.-

.

.

Moon in Pisces: (The Astrologer's Handbook pg. 108)

The moon in the sign Pisces indicates a supersensitve emotioanal nature which acts like a psychic sponge, soaking up the thoughts and emotions of others. This extreme impressionability on the unconscious level makes the person feel psychologically vulnerable, with the result that he withdraws into seclusion to protect himself emotionally. There are strong psychic and mediumistic tendencies, but without consideration of other factors in the chart there can be no guarantee that the impressions recieved are reliable. People with this position have a vivid imagination which can result in poetic, musical, or artistic output. They are generally kind an sympathetic because of their sensitivity to the feelings of others. However, they can be easily hurt and may develope a persecution complex. If the moon is afflicted in Pisces, there can be neurotic or psychotic tendencies and irrational dominance by the unconscious mind, In some cases excessive shyness is indicated.-

.

My take on it: The music and artistic ability is self explanatory. As for the excessive shyness? Remember that first time on American Bandstand...need I say more.

.

.

Venus in Taurus: (The Astrologer's Handbook pg. 130)

Venus in the sign Taurus gives constant, lasting affections. Emotional security and stability in love are important for the natives. They are loyal and steadfast, although they can be possesive and jealous if their emotional security is threatened. Their sense of touch is highly developed, and they enjoy physiccal contact with their loved ones; but they are sensual in a passive way, seeking to attract rather than persue the love object. Venus in Taurus gives a love of comfort, luxury, beautiful surroundings, good food, and opulence in general. Therefore, the money that makes such things possible is important to these people. Because the Moon, which rules the domestic scene, is exalted in Taurus, they seek to make their homes beautiful and artistic. Personal beauty is important to them too, and they seek to make themselves as attractive and youthful as possible. Even hippies with this Venus position will wear beautiful jewelry or an expensive piece of clothing.

Natives feel a close kinship with the earth and gain pleasure and solace from flowers, trees and other plants. They may take up gardening or growing flowers as a hobby. As Taurus rules the throat and larynx, and Venus confers grace and beauty, many people with Venus in Taurus have rich, melodious voices. Talented singers are likely to have this placement.-

.

My take on it: The constant, lasting, stability, loyal, steadfastness and all will be dealt with later, because this planet does not make good aspects to his Neptune or Uranus. The rest is self explanatory.

.

.

Venus in the 6th House: (The Astrologer's Handbook pg. 142)

Venus in the sixth house indicates social activities and romantic involvements established through work. The work performed is usually connected with artistic pursuits or social doings. Love of work and harmonious, friendly relationships with co-workers, employees, and employers are typical. Working conditions can be harmonious and beautiful. People with this position often marry someone they meet through their work. This position gives a love of beautiful clothing and an ability in dress making and design. Affection is often lavished on pets and small animals. The health is good, but not robust; these people can enjoy good health if it is not abused. Health often improves after marriage.-

.

My take on it: Vanity...Sheila E...Susannah M...and then eventually marrying Mayte and Manuella wink

.

.

Moon in the 4th House: (The Astrologer's Handbook pg. 110)

This position of the Moon is strong, and because of the relationship of this house to the sign Cancer, the Moon is accidentally dignified here. Since there is emotional identification with the home and family, people with this position cannot be happy without a meaningful home life. Family relationships will affect their whole emotional outlook. Parents, especially the mother, strongly influence them. As a rule this position makes the natives fond of cooking and housekeeping; it is especially favorable in a women's horoscope. In business they can excel in activities related to food, real estate, and products used in the home. If the Moon is afflicted in this house, there can be a lack of harmony and many changes of residence. If the horoscope is favorable, the financial prospects can be better in the second half of life.-

.

My take on it: Family was indeed important to him, and it is my belief that being bounced around like that in his childhood affected him deeply.

.

.

Neptune in Scorpio (1955/57-1970) (The Astrologer's Handbook pg. 216)

Neptune in the sign of Scorpio indicates a period of exploitation of man's natural desires. A few people have experienced spiritual regeneration and initiated a search into life's inner mysteries, but many are marked by the exploitation of sex for commercial purposes. Scorpio is the sex sign, and Neptune rules drugs. Loose sexual morality at this time has lead to widespread venereal disease, and the use of drugs as a psychological escape has spread. There is much emotional intensity and confusion, causing the turmoil in the unconscious to break out in such chaotic artistic phenomena as rock music. Many of the children born with Neptune in this sign will have clairvoyant abilities and will be forced to acknowledge the need for spiritual regeneration when Uranus and Pluto conjunct their natal Neptune postion.-

.

My take on it: I believe Prince did do a lot of metaphysical research and introspection. The part about the sexual exploitation for commercial purposes is none other than him forming the group Vanity 6, imo. Also it's no coincidence that Vanity, Susan Moonsie, Jill Jones and Sheila E's Neptunes all fall into his twelfth house in Scorpio (which I will talk about later).

.

.

Neptune in the 12th House: (The Astrologer's Handbook pg. 224)

Neptune in the Twelfth House indicates an intuitive link with the unconscious mind. Strong mystical and religious tendencies are manifested. Privacy and seclusion are sought, being necessary for inner spiritual search. Often there are memories of previous incarnations, and much depth of spiritual wisdom is bought over from the past. If Neptune is well aspected, there is ability with clairvoyance, psychology, and healing. Poetic, musical, and artistic sensitivity and ability are also present. If Neptune is afflicted, there is neurotic preoccupation with the problems of the past, since the natives are open to negative, misleading psychic influences. This often results in mental confusion, woolgathering, and withdrawal from the practical affairs of life.-

.

My take on it: And of course, this intuitive link with the unconscious mind is what kept the music flowing into his subconscious 24-7. Even when he was asleep(being very "artistically sensitve").

.

.

Pluto in the 10th House: (The Astrologer's Handbook pg. 234)

Pluto in the Tenth House indicates a highly developed willpower and a strong drive to succeed. People with this position can be spiritual leaders in the reform of existing power structures. They are likely to also be leaders in science and the occult, and their special bent for healing, clairvoyance, or prophecy can bring them renown. Since they are adept at dealing with those in positions of power and understanding their motives, this is a favorable position for being involved in politics and other forms of public work. Farsightedness leads to wise leadership when Pluto is well aspected.

The desire to reform and rehabilitate the world produces powerful friends and enemies. These people tend to be misunderstood and can become controversial figures. Crisis in their careers can force them to alter drastically their professional activites.

When Pluto is afflicted in this house, dictatorial tendencies and selfish personal ambitions may come to the fore. At times the natives feel alienated from others because of their own oppressive responsibilities.-

.

My take on it: He indeed tried to reform (change) the way things were being done by the record companies (Warner Bros. as well as others) aka "power structures". Now, I don't know how "adept" he was in dealing with them because I was never clear as to whether he really got the rights to his music or not (plus there is a T-square involving this planet so there's some shadyness going on here) cause there are good and bad aspects to this planet. Reforming and rehabilitating those around him simply means bending them to his will and being hard on them (remember those interviews that JellyBean Johnson, Brown Mark and others gave?...need I say more). This carries over into the dictatorial tendencies and selfish personal ambitions, as this planet is afflicted.

Even though he has Venus in the 6th house in Taurus, it's opposed to his Neptune in the 12th and square to his Uranus in the 9th. Forming a T-square between the three planets Venus, Neptune and Uranus, so the constant, lasting affection and stability that I spoke about earlier with Venus in Taurus was diffucult to achieve.

.

Venus opposite Neptune: (The Astrologer's Handbook pg. 429)

This oppostion indicates that emotions and affections are strongly influenced by unconscious forces. In matters of money, marriage, social life, and artistic creativity the natives are sometimes their own worst enemies. Their unconscious desires generate wishful thinking and distorted perceptions of reality. Sometimes laziness and self-indulgence cause them to go astray, partaking in unhealthy and exotic pleasures such as alcohol and drugs. This catering to the senses can deplete their financial resources, placing them in an inferior position or limiting their expression.

This aspect may cause scandals as a result of secret love affairs or alliances, for the tendency of Neptune is to camouflage the private affairs of the natives until the matter is forced into the open.

There is danger of practicing or being the victim of subtle sexual seduction. This can in some cases manifest itself in homosexual tendencies.

If marriage is involved, this aspect can cause divorce. It will do so by gradually undermining a marriage, instead of openly breaking it off , as would be the case with Venus opposing Uranus.--

.

My take on it: I can definately see him being his own worst enemy in regards to his marriages and his artistic creativity in so far as constantly looking for that "perfect" person ect. never being able to settle with one person, and just being downright spiteful to Warner Bros. (saying he would not always give them his best and would hold stuff back ect.) And it was wishful thinking imo, to think that he could or should have the rights to all his masters after he used WB as the launching pad for his career. They should have negotiated on maybe 50/50 or him getting 75% and them 25%. Idk, just my thoughts.

.

.

Venus square Uranus: (The Astrologer's Handbook pg. 367)

This square generally brings about sudden but brief attractions in the natives' lives. Infatuations which began under this aspect will be exciting while they last. Since the emotions are likely to be unstable and subject to swift reverses, the natives can be in love today and indifferent tomorrow.

This fickleness is almost certainly present if the square is found in mutable signs. If found in fixed signs, there is an emotional rigidity which refuses to listen reason and chooses emotional gratification at all cost.

Sometimes love and friendship are confused. The natives want to be friendly with everyone but they may discover that this is an impossibility, especially when sexual considerations enter the picture. They may be unable to sacrifice some of their personal freedom in order to make a stable marriage relationship. Therefore, this aspect often indicates divorce. The native's desire for exhilarating, exotic emotional experiences is not always compatible with a practical way of life. Sometimes this square can cause sexual promiscuity or perversion, but only if other factors in the horoscope are confirmatory and if the Fifth House is involved in the pattern.--

.

My take on it: It's self explanatory. Btw, this aspect is between fixed signs.

.

Now, keeping those two aspects in mind, all of these people have Neptune in P's 12th House and opposite his Venus:

Sheila E.

Vanity

Susan Moonsie

Jill Jones

.

A's Neptune in B's 12th House: (The Astrology of Human Relationships pg. 321)

These natives are involved with each other's subconscious minds and intuitive faculties. They could be associated through hospitals or charitable or religious institutions, either helping or being helped. There can be a strong mutual interest in psychology and probing the deeper levels of consciousness. Whether Neptune is afflicted or well-aspected in the comparison, it is reasonable to suppose that the natives have a karmic link of some kind.

If Neptune is afflicted in the comparison, the natives could bring out the worst of each other's neurotic tendencies and subconscious fears, distortions, and delusions. They could be secret enemies, consciously or unconsciously or they could bring about each other's undoing through encouraging each other in self-destructive or escapist habits.

If Neptune is well-aspected in the comparison, the natives will have a mutual interest in intuitive inspiration, art, music, mysticism and other creative uses of the imagination.--

.

My take on it: See...and y'all thought it was only Vanity who had this "karmic link" with P because their deaths were so close together. But seriously though, the part about encouraging each others self-destructive, escapist habits. I have often wondered how P dealt with being around Vanity so much when she was using drugs or if she ever did it around him... hmmm

.

.

A's Venus opposite B's Neptune: (The Astrology of Hulman Relationships pg. 191)

This comparative combination indicates alluring, but not necessarily reliable or stable, romantic and sexual attractions. In some cases, the natives can be deceptive toward each other emotionally. The relationship is apt to be highly romantic, but not necessarily practical. Romantic attractions can sometimes be one-sided, leading to emotional hurts and dissapointments, or one party can use the other for sexual gratification.

The Venus individual is apt to regard the Neptune individual as peculiar, unreliable and deceptive. The Neptune individual may regard the Venus person as spiritually unaware or lacking in imagination. There can be mutual appreciation of fine arts, music, or religious mysticism. Since both these planets are linked to Pisces, they are not necessarily incompatible, even though this is technically an adverse comparative aspect. However, other factors in the comparison must be favorable for a relationship to be practical and lasting, especially if it involves areas of serious responsibility encountered in business and marriage. If the natives are weak and immature, they can encourage each other to indulge in hedonistic and disappointing, self-destructive habits and extravagances.--

.

My take on it: I can definately see all of this in his relationship with all four of these women...Smh

.

.

All five of these women have Neptune in his 1st House square to his Moon in the 4th:

Carmen Electra

Nona Gaye

Anna Fantastic

Mayte Garcia

Manuela Testolini

.

A's Neptune in B's First House (The Astrology of Human Relationships pg. 314)

This comparative house placement can indicate a psychic link between the natives. The intuitive perceptions and subconscious attitudes of the Neptune individual can be either constructive or a destructive influence on the self-expression and awareness of the First House individual.

If Neptune is afflicted in the comparison, the Neptune individual will have a detrimental effect on the psychology of the First House individual. The Neptune individual could encourage the First House in self-indulgent and destructive habits such as alcoholism, drug abuse, or negative psychic practices, or in idle non productive habits. The First House individual could regard the Neptune individual as lost in a fantasy world or psychologically distorted.

If Neptune is well aspected in the comparison, the Neptune individual will improve the First House individual's level of spiritual awareness. The First House individual can gain in esthetic, cultural, spiritual, and intuitive insight through the association and can, in turn, help the Neptune individual to be more positive and active in expressing and utilizing his or her imaginative, and esthetic abilities. The natives' influence on each other in these respects will be especially strong if they are associated through family and domestic circumstances.--

.

My take on it: Prince is the First House person; the women the Neptune individuals. I would say Nona might have the negative affect on him since out of the 15 aspects made to his planets, 14 of them are negative. I can also see how he could see her as "lost in a fantasy world".

.

.

A's Moon square B's Neptune: (The Astrology of Human Relationships pg. 116)

Mutual deception and dishonesty, often based on subconscious psychological hangups, are frequently characteristic of relationships with this comparative combination. One or both of the natives can have a parasitical psychological effect on the other. The natives can encourage

each other's tendencies to get hung up in negative emotional memories, to the point of being incapable of acting appropriately in their present circumstances. They can become so involved in their own private dream worlds that they are no longer able to communicate or take care of practical family, domestic, business or other mutual responsibilities. They can encourage each others neuroses, psychological weaknesses, and subconscious self-destructive tendencies, such as alcoholism, drug-taking, or other destructive escapist tendencies.

This is not a good combination for business partnerships. The natives will tend to be unreliable toward each other and make unwise expenditures. The Neptune individual is likely to be emotionally deceptive toward the Moon individual and the Moon person often finds the other hard to understand.--

.

My take on it: Only the five women and Prince know what the "mutual deception" was about. As far as the parasitical effect, I can see Mayte and Nona being that way towards him. And as far as getting hung up in negative emotional memories (the past) to the point of not being able to act appropriately in the "here and now" reminds me of Mayte not being able to get over their deceased children and crying at the most inappropriate times and places, not being able to move on.

.

.

* For those interested, if you see something from the astrological text that resonates with you pull a quote and comment on it (like y'all really need me to tell y'all that, right) lol lol lol

Next up: Synestry between Manuela Testolini and Prince

Wow. So, Andy Allo had the best synastry with Prince?!?!? Exactly, what does that mean, PaisleyPrint?

In astrology, aspects are angles between planets. The bad (not so good) aspects are the Oppositions and Squares. The good aspects are Trines (especially) and Sextiles. Andy's planets make 20 aspects to P's. Out of those 20, only 6 are negative. Carmen Electra's ain't so bad either. Nona's is terrible, and so is Susan Moonsie's. But Nona's is the worst of them all.

Hi PaisleyPrint. Awesome analysis! Also a bit overwhelming. lol

Two things I wonder about: can you please explain very briefly about the moons and how they influence each other?

And second--and I say this as the wife of a Gemini who is classically split into two personalities--how does prince's astrological analysis boil down to a person who by all accounts had two very different sides?
And the MUSIC continues...forever...

Yes, it has to do with compatability. I'll explain more later. I'll try to put a pic of his natal chart up later. Or you can Google: Prince Natal Chart, it's on astrotheme.com It'll show you how one looks.

You have birthplaces, birthdates, AND birthtimes for ALL of these women? Because I could only find confirmed info for Sheila E, Carmen Electra and Kim Basinger. Otherwise it's "any woman born on that date in that place" and then you can't look at houses, axes or the moon.

Comparative influences of the Moon indicate the means by which the Moon individual's automatic habit responses, family upbringing, and cultural conditionings will affect the relationship. The specific nature of these effects will depend upon both natal chart of the individual and the comparative aspects of the sign and house placement of the Moon.

Well, the thing is, no two Gemeni's, Cancers ect. are alike. When someone asks, "What's your sign?".

They are talking about your "Sun" sign, but noone ever says that. We also have a "Moon" sign and a rising sign (Ascendant), the sign that was rising on the eastern horizon when we were born. The zodiac itself is like an imaginary belt/wheel that circles the earth. The wheel consist of 12 compartments (houses; thus 12 signs of the zodiac) each of those houses represent a department/sphere of life. Each house occupies a 30 degree segment of the wheel, thus 30x12=360(degrees). A full circle. As far as Prince and other Gemeni's, sure they will share some traits, but we have to look at the person's personal birth chart as a whole. I hope I explained it well.

You're right. I don't have access to all of their birth times. Only the ones you named. But all one has to do is look at an ephemeris (I use the Swiss one, you can Google: Swiss ephemeris 1958, or whatever year you wanna look up). It'll tell you the position of all the planets, Sun thru Pluto on any particular day of the year. The Moon is such a fast moving planet, you do really need the birth time, but I only plan on using the women's Sun and Mercury thru Pluto as they relate to P's planets and fall in his houses. You sound like you know a little bit about astrology, what do you think so far?...

Before I get into the relationship with Mani and Prince, I wanted to see what was going on in his natal chart as far as the transits. From the time he married Mayte, the divorce, and up to his relationship and eventual marriage to Mani. A natal chart is a map of where all the planets were in the heavens when we were born and their placement in our natal chart. These planets continue to move from one sign/house to the next, making aspects to other planets in our natal chart. These movements are called transits. As these planets move, they make aspects to other planets in the natal chart, triggering a psychological reaction in the person and particular life events.

.

January 1, 1996 thru December 31, 1996 Pluto was in Sagittaruis, vacillating between 1-4 degrees, making a square to Prince's natal Moon. October 16 thru October 31 of that same year Pluto was 1 degree in Sagittarius, making an exact square to his natal Moon in Pisces (1 degree in Pisces in the 4th House of home and family).

.

.

Transiting Moon Square Natal Pluto Predictive Astrology pg. 192

Eruption of deep-seated emotional problems characterize this transit. Psychological domination of or by women is a danger. Family conflicts over authority may arise from the individual's attempts to emotionally dominate and remake family members. The home and the emotional stability of the individual are often disrupted by large-scale forces. This transit often coincides with the death of a family member. (This is more likely to occur, however, when transiting Pluto is squaring the natal Moon).

Often, the idividual feels a desire to sever old emotional and family ties. In general, there is a need to regenenerate outworn conditions, attitudes and emotioanl habits and to regenerate the contents of the subconscious mind. The emotional issues that the individual faces demands such readjustments.

Transiting Pluto square the natal Moon has the same significance as the transiting Moon square natal Pluto; however, it last for a much longer period of time, a year or longer, and indicates a prolonged period of emotional and domestic transformation. The transit occurs only once in an average lifetime.

.

My take on it: The deep-seated emotional problems may have been what lead to the taking of the pills in April of that year. Of course, we see the domination of Mayte at that time. Everything from what she wore to her diet. He wanted total control. We also see how this transit coincided with the death of their child. It's funny, but when I see the regeneration of outworn ideas, emotional habits and so forth, I think of the interview with Tavis Smiley when he said he had to get freed from the mentality of being a slave, being owned by WB and changing his name, and that the changing of his name freed him from being "Prince", thinking like Prince. Wow...deep.

.

.

On January 31, 1997 Uranus moved into Aquarius 5 degrees, and continued to vacillate beween 5 and 9 degrees until February 20, 1998, squaring his natal Venus (7 degrees in Taurus). Keep in mind he already has a square between these two planets in his natal chart. So this transit only "intensified" what was already there. Meanwhile, Neptune is at 0 degrees Aquarius and will be in full effect, squaring his natal Venus also by the time he marries Mani in December, 2001.

.

Transiting Venus Square Natal Uranus Predictive Astrology pg. 266

Unstable romantic infatuations and impractical or irresponsible attitudes toward marital responsibilities or sexual conduct characterize this transit.

Excessive pursuit of pleasure or difficult-to-control sexual impulses may become a problem. There is often a lack of consideration toward others in social relationships. Romantic or marital partners tend to dissaprove of the individuals friends or group associations during this period. The individual's behavior, social and aesthetic tastes may be so bizarre that they amuse or annoy others.

Transiting Uranus square natal Venus has the same significance as transiting Venus square natal Uranus; however, the former transit is of longer duration and indicates a sustained period of eccentric social and sexual behavior affecting close personal relationships.

.

My take on it: Now, this one obvious. It don't take no rocket scientist to figure this one out. This is the unraveling of his marriage to Mayte during this time period to a tee. The "unstable" romantic infatuation is Mani. The difficult-to-control sexual impulses. The lack of consideration for his marriage/wife...it all happened during that time period (transit). The disapproving of friends and "group associations" may have been Larry Graham and the Jehovah Witnesses. (We will go on to see how Uranus continues to move into his 4th House eventually squaring his Ascendant, dissolving his marriage to Mayte)

.

Between March 15, 1999 thru January 7, 2001 Uranus was between 14-16 degrees Aquarius, squaring his Scorpio Ascendant (rising 16 degrees). Making an exact square April 8 thru July 7, 1999.

.

Transiting Uranus Through the Natal Fourth House Predictive Astrology pg.372

Changes in one's basic emotional attitudes and a desire for personal freedom in home and family life characterize this transit

.

My take on it: The man wanted OUT of that marriage. Not to mention it was square his Ascendant. disbelief

.

Transiting Uranus Square the Natal Ascendant and Square the Natal Descendant pg. 389

A desire for personal freedom, regardless of consequences, characterizes this transit. The individual can become bored with normal life routines and seek change in a disruptive and impractical way. This can have a disruptive effect on partnerships and friendships. The individual may become involved with unreliable or eccentric friends and group associations.

.

Between January 1, 2001 thru December 31, 2001 Neptune was in Aquarius between 5-7 degrees, squaring his natal Venus (7 degrees in Taurus). Neptune is also the ruler of his 5th House; which rules, among other things, romance. Neptune was 7 degrees in Aquarius on Dec 31, 2001 the day he married Mani. Exactly square to his Venus.

.

.

Transiting Venus Square Natal Neptune Predictive Astrology pg. 267

Deception and confusion in marital and romantic relationships characterize this transit. Emotional hypersensitivity and unrealistic romantic fantasizing can also become a problem. Secret love affairs, misplaced sympathy, or psychological withdrawal from social contacts are all possible. The individual is susceptible to "sob" stories or plays for sympathy on the part of others, or may demand sympathy from them. Excessive drinking or drug abuse for psychological escape can contribute to the individual's self-undoing. Transiting Neptune square natal Venus has the same significance as transiting Venus square natal Neptune; however, the former is of longer duration and indicates a sustained period of emotional, financial, and romantic confusion. This transit can occur only twice in an average life span.

.

My take on it: That first sentence says it all. He was confused when he married her (Mani). "Confused". Not to mention that by the time she filed for divorce in May, 2006, Neptune was square his Ascendant/Descendant from the 5th House.

.

.

Now, for those who were saying, "Oh he never loved Mayte in the first place", yada, yada, this, that, and the third. You never know what a person is going through in their lives. His natal chart is already weak (with Venus square Uranus and Venus opposite Neptune) in the relationship department and with these Uranus and Neptune transits activating what's already there, one can see why he was acting the way he was at those particular times in his life. Also, Neptune is a personal planet for him cause it's the ruler of his Moon, so any transits it makes to other planets or other planets make to it, is going to be felt by him immensely. Same thing with Pluto (his chart ruler). So yeah, when transiting Uranus squared his natal Venus, he was ready to jump ship, it wasn't necessarily the death of the baby, although that did hurt him deeply, Prince was just wild anyway (go back and read Venus square Uranus in his birth chart analysis) and the transit just brought it out. So any woman he was with was gonna bear the brunt of that madness at the time. It just happened to be Mayte.

[Edited 1/13/17 6:36am]

Wow. This is very interesting. Thanks so much for putting this together for us. I've often thought that he was reeling when he married Mani...AND when he became a Jehovah's Witness. He had just lost his son and his father. He was searching...in all the wrong places, IMHO.

Yup, the stars declared and decreed it... And I forgot that in addition to the Uranus square his Venus, Uranus was also opposite his natal Uranus, which sits in the 9th House of "Religion and Philosophy. Making him subject to eccentric, impractical religious, cultural, educational or philosophic beliefs.

You have birthplaces, birthdates, AND birthtimes for ALL of these women? Because I could only find confirmed info for Sheila E, Carmen Electra and Kim Basinger. Otherwise it's "any woman born on that date in that place" and then you can't look at houses, axes or the moon.

[Edited 1/8/17 21:20pm]

[Edited 1/9/17 5:48am]

You're right. I don't have access to all of their birth times. Only the ones you named. But all one has to do is look at an ephemeris (I use the Swiss one, you can Google: Swiss ephemeris 1958, or whatever year you wanna look up). It'll tell you the position of all the planets, Sun thru Pluto on any particular day of the year. The Moon is such a fast moving planet, you do really need the birth time, but I only plan on using the women's Sun and Mercury thru Pluto as they relate to P's planets and fall in his houses. You sound like you know a little bit about astrology, what do you think so far?...

Broadly speaking since I haven't looked at them in a while:

For Mayte, there are some things which are suggestive but I can't really say anything about them because the really interesting stuff deals with the AC/MC and the moon. Same deal with Manuela. Kim Basinger to me doesn't seem to have a lot of chemistry in synastry (it feels more publicity). If P's synastry with Carmen could talk it would say, "Please sit on my face, pretty lady", but there are no interaspects indicating stability so it was like a time bomb going off. The interaspects with Sheila E show two emotionally intense people who got into power struggles.

Yup to everything you just said. Especially Carmen biggrin The only thing that bothers me though is her Saturn in P's 7th house "squaring" his Moon in his fourth and Pluto in his 10th. That's why when he (supposedly) asked her if she would choose a career over being a homemaker, she said, "The career". I didn't know he gave her an engagement ring also (I recently read an article on it). That's news to me LOL. As far as Sheila, yep, pretty much like Vanity. Did you read my post on what he was going through during those crazy transits.

Nope to both. The Carmen interaspects are harsh, not stabilizing.

I think he did have a habit of handing out engagement rings or proposing marriage (uh ok Sheila) to his main chicks. He had a thing about it. "Let's Pretend We're Married" and "Head" anyone? So despite proposing marriage to Mayte, I really think the timing of the wedding was because he (thought) he knocked her up. With Manuela, there was the same approximate age difference between the two (in years and their actual ages) and I think his father passed that same year.

You could run through the progressions in his chart, but it's too much.

In continuing the analysis of Mani and Prince, I wanna point out that there is a strong emphasis on the 11th and 12th houses, as she has a stellium of planets in P's 11th and 12th houses. Sun, Mercury and Pluto in P's eleventh house. Venus, Mars, Uranus in P's twelfth house.

.

Manuela Testolini and Prince:

.

.

Eleventh House The Astrology of Human Relationships pg. 55

If planets of one native's horoscope fall in the Eleventh House of the other native or aspect planets in the other native's Eleventh House or the ruler of his eleventh house, there will be friendship or mutual involvement in group or organizational activities, along with the possibility of working together on some serious social, humanitarian, scientific, or occult project. In marriage or romantic relationships, Eleventh House influences can provide an intellectual basis for shared interest and continuing friendship that goes beyond mere emotional and sexual attraction.

.

Twelfth House The Astrology of Human Relationships pg. 55

Twelfth House comparative influences indicate to what extent the subconscious minds of the natives and their psychic impressions wil be a factor in their relationship. If the Twelfth House comparative influences are adverse, the natives can be deceptive or evasive toward each other. Neurotic tendencies or the tendency of one or both natives to live in a dream world can stand in the way of a constructive relationship. Twelfth House comparative influences can also indicate a karmic link between the natives based on past life associations. They can also indicate a psychic-telepathic or intuitive-empathic link between the natives. When favorable Twelfth House comparative influences are present, the natives can be attuned to each other's inspirational creative imagination and each can help the other to understand his subconscious psychological mechanisms.

(*Note: keep this house position in mind because a lot of the women he dealt with had planets in this house of his horoscope; Vanity, Sheila E., Susan Moonsie, Jill Jones, Mayte G., and Anna Fantastic)

.

.

A's Sun in B's Eleventh House The Astrology of Human Relationships pg. 66

Relationships with this comparative combnation are often friendships based on areas of mutual, intellectual, or scientific interest and humanitarian or cultural concerns. Common goals and objectives provide occasion for the individuals to work together in group and organizational activities designed to uplift the cultural order.

.

My take on it: Mani's Sun in P's 11th House; so this sounds like those charities and organizations that they worked on together and with the Sun being our self-expression, this is the area of his life where she expressed herself most passionately, and the glue, imo, that bonded them.

.

.

A's Sun Square B's Sun The Astrology of Human Relationships pg. 79

The ego conflicts often produced by this comparative aspect take the form of the natives' interfering with each other's creative self-expression. Their tendency to boss each other around generally meets with resistance and resentment. There can be serious differences of attitude in major areas. This is a particularly difficult comparative aspect for persons who must work together in the arts or the theater. It aslo indicates problems in romance and courtship. In marriage relationship, raising children is often a problem.

.

A's Sun Square B's Saturn The Astrology of Human Relationships pg. 81

This comparative combination is one of the most difficult to work with in a relationship. The Sun native feels repressed and squelched by the negativity of the Saturn person. The Saturn person is likely to feel that the Sun native is too impulsive an impatient and a threat to position and authority. This combination can produce ego conflicts and a clash of wills. In some cases, the Saturn native will be jealous and try to hold the Sun person back. This is not a good combination for business and professional relationships or for parent-child relationships, especially if the parent is the Saturn person. It also tends to create coldness and difficulty in marriage and friendships.

.

My take on it: I would imagine these two aspects did put a strain on their marriage and possibly lead to their divorce.

.

.

A's Mercury in B's Eleventh House The Astrology of Human Relationships pg. 134

This comparative combination often indicates a friendship based on shared intellectual interest, especially the scientific, occult or humanitarian. The natives are likely to participate together in group and organizational activities of an intellectual, scientific, or humanitarian nature, and they are likely to engage in much discussion about mutual friends.

.

My take on it: Mercury aspects/house placements are extremely important between the two, as Mercury is both their ruling planets. Again, here we see the "shared interest" in humanitarian causes ect.

.

.

A's Venus in B's Twelfth House The Astrology of Human Relationships pg. 169

Because this combination indicates a close psychic emotional and emotional link between the natives, they will be sympathetic and compassionate toward each other. This can be manifested as a psychic awareness of each other's moods and feelings. They can share a sensitive appreciation of music, art, and religion, as well as a mystical and intuitive psychic awareness.

.

A's Sun Trine B's Venus The Astrology of Human Relationships pg. 85

This is a good comparitive combination for romantic and sexual attraction and marriage. The natives enjoy each other's company and have fun together. There is good emotional rapport and mutual sensitiviy and generosity. The natives are likely to share artistic, cultural, musical, or theatrical interest. Married couples with this combination enjoy raising children together, and parent-child relationships are favored. The natives will encourage each other to be more outgoing and self-expressive socially.

.

My take on it: Even though P was under some major transits at the start of this relationship, there was an attraction here, and I am sure they enjoyed many good times during the marriage, but in the end the Sun square Sun and Sun square Saturn put a damper on the relationship.

.

.

A's Moon Square B's Jupiter The Astrologey of Human Relationships pg. 115

This comparative combination indicates the possibility of an incincere or somewhat hypocritical relationship between two people. The natives can pander to each other's weaknesses and self-indulgent tendencies, especially in matters of food an domestic comfort. In parent-child relationships, the parent can have a tendency to be overly protective and indulgent. There can be difficulties and differences in religious background and social upbringing. The natives may feign generosity and concern for each other's welfare, while they are secretly concerned about security, money, or other material advantages. In business relationships, the natives can encourage each other to extravagances and unwise financial risks in their attempt to appear more enterprising than they really are. They can also encourage each other's subconscious psychological difficulties and weaknesses, often through emotional dishonesty and overprotectiveness.

.

My take on it: Mani has Jupiter in P's 7th House, but it's square his Moon in his 4th House. Many have said Mani seemed sneaky to them and they just may be right. I'll leave this one to each his own opinion. He also shares this aspect with Vanity.

.

.

A's Venus Square B's Saturn The Astrology of Human Relationships pg. 181

Usually this comparative combination leads to a difficult, cold, unfrienldy relationship. In most cases, the natives will not be voluntarily attracted to each other. However, in some cases, such as family and parent-child relationships, student-teacher relationships, or business relationships, there is no choice in the matter. This is not a good combination for marital or romantic relationships. When these occur, there is usually some ulterior financial or status motive involved, either on the part of the natives themselves or their families.

.

My take on it: Lots of people say she was a gold digger. Who knows, ya know...

.

.

A's Uranus Opposite B's Venus The Astrology of Human Relationships pg.

As a rule, this comparative combination indicates strong, sudden romantic and sexual infatuations which are not stable or lasting, unless other comparitive aspects indicate stability. The Uranus individual can bring change, excitement, and adventure into the life of the Venus individual. The Venus individual can bring affection, love, and companionship to the Uranus individual. The natives may become mutually involved in group and organizational activities and friendships. Often, they first meet through mutual friends or groups. There can be mutual interest and excitement over occult, scientific, humanitarian or corporate business endeavers. However, the overall comparison must show compatability, integrity, and common sense for those to succeed or endure.

.

My take on it: First, Mani's Uranus falls in P's Twelfth house just like those other ladies I mentioned earlier whose Neptune falls in his Twelfth (see Reply #1 of this thread) conjunct his Neptune, which is already opposite his Venus in his natal chart Plus the transits that he married Mani under, you can see why this marriage didn't last. It's all there, the infatuation, sudden attraction ect. The mutual involvement in those charities, organizations ect.

.

.

A's Pluto in B's Eleventh House The Astrology of Human Relationships pg. 345

This comparative placement indicates important mutual involvement in the pursuit of organizational, scientific, humanitarian, or occult goals and objectives. There could also be important mutual activities regarding the finances of groups and organizations or the financing of scientific research and humanitarian endeavors. The Pluto individual is likely to try to change or reform the Eleventh House individual's goals, objectives, and friendships, often by encouraging the elimination of friends and organizatinal activities that do not serve a useful purpose.

.

My take on it: Self-explanatory. Not sure whether or not Mani tried to change/reform P's goals, objectives or friendships though. Whew!!! all that 11th House activity, humanitarian endeavors, groups and organizations and the funding of them biggrin No wonder she once told someone that those things were what brought them together lol
