Tidal recordings quality

Has anyone noticed the tidal versions of Prince's work is bass heavy?

I noticed this when I purchased 20ten from the store.

It is radically much more bass heavy than FLAC's I downloaded off of the internet when it came out.

Particularly noticable on Future Soul Song.

anyone else?

Not really noticed.

I find listening to some of the 1980's albums frustrating due to using versions from other sources and not the album version such as girls and boys and kiss on parade.

I LOVE Tidal. I also think very highly of how they treat the presentation of his music on that service. That being said, your point above does annoy me about them though... mad mad mad

I have only heard/seen the album version of Girls & Boys on Tidal so maybe it's just one out of mutiple sources for the track?

As they should. Completely unacceptable!

Can't say I really noticed. I must say I'm quite satisfied with quality of the Tidal material.
