The media informed me of someone I cared about, I'm not some savage laughing about Prince's death once the big bad media ran a story about him. Lots of people cared about him and wanted to know what happened. And I guess if he wanted to remain 100 percent hidden he would have stayed home and not ridden a bicycle in a CAR parking lot, a place I SELDOM see bikes. I was merely stating my opinion about people jumping on every opportunity to record his image when he's just trying to be a regular person like you or me. Not being gawked at in public, or having your privacy invaded by strangers with cameras is a luxury we take for granted.

I agree that he did the same thing with the "I am Transformed" quote, but I think Prince did intend that one as something he was saying. Usually when he copied and pasted, he would include the user's name. For instance, with my quote, he wanted to make sure that he specified who that quote was from, and even deleted a space between my user name and "What", to fit the whole tweet in with credit being given to me. It irked me, tremendously, that the news reported it as his quote, but even more so when someone suddenly created a twitter account with the user name "@benni1028What" so the quote showed up on their page. But with the "I am #transformed" tweet, Prince didn't make sure the author was credited with the tweet. I think he saw that tweet to him and then liked the sound of it, especially after the plane landing in Moline, Ill., and felt like he was transformed after that stop.

I grew up in a capital city here in the U.S. and seeing a bike in a parking lot was and is very rare, especially in or around the parking spaces for cars. If I had ridden a bike in a lot I would have ridden in the DRIVING area (lane) then directly to the bike rack if there even was one. I'm not criticizing Prince, I just want to make the point that the only way I can get info about him is from the media, and that I am happy regular people like me share their stories of him. And as for him wanting to be just like a regular person- no, he had known for decades that he was not a regular person and that he could not ride around and not cause a stir. Personally, I think he was reaching out and WANTED to be seen by fellow humans because he knew how sick he was and was trying to hang on to HIS normalcy. But wants to be regular? No way. He and I were the same age, so we could have been bike buddies.

Prince always said that he stayed in Chanhassen because he could go to the store, walk around his neighborhood, go out in public, and no one would bother him. He liked being able to act like a "regular Joe" in his own town. Being able to ride a bike without being filmed or photographed was not something new for Prince. And are you young? Growing up, we rode our bikes in parking lots, around the streets, in the streets, on the sidewalks, everywhere. AND we rode them without helmets. It's amazing we survived! We used to ride in our cars without seat belts, too!

There were some Tweets he didn't include the Twitter handle. Don't know if it was intentional or not.

That's true. He did retweet some without their Twitter name. But it was extremely rare, from what I saw, that he did that. But I could be wrong, too. I didn't really start paying attention to his twitter until the last year. I saw him retweet alot and delete it, or tweet and delete. I just saw that one, and with what had happened in the airplane, felt that Prince probably was feeling that tweet himself after leaving the hospital. :-/ Damn, I still miss him. I just remembered hearing about the airplane incident and it hit me all over again.
