Are you still grieving for Prince?

I am. Yesterday hearing of G M passing away I felt saddened at the loss of a talented guy such as George at only 53. When I watched the news coverage it just made me feel the loss of Prince all over again and I started to weep. I couldn't help it.
Baby, you're a star.

Feeds its too much to absorb right that George Michael died on Christmas Day while families opening their gift to turn on the t.v and see that and hear it as well i went immediately to play wham till my family n friends danced themself into an 80s dance off...lol..Gimme Gimme Come On..So the pain for prince was still lingering and no tears this time to spare just celebrate him to the fullest but who am I fooling i cried my ass off in the garage for a minute and then some still hard to accept and very much appreciate the org to help thru it with other orgers to heal together Prince like no other theirs only one Prince!!!! Ure Mine Nastier then I Thought....Forever In My Soul...

Sometimes.
I never thought it was going to subside, but it's gotten better.
I mostly think about what the lessons are.
Why did o grieve so deeply and strongly?
And what can I do to better my life based on what I've learned and am still learning, both about myself and through Prince's example?

I grieve every now and then for Prince. I miss him every day but find comfort in his music so the pain is slowly subsiding sad

I am still grieving Prince's death, and now the news of George Michael has reignited everything. It's all so sad; they are gone too soon. I too find a lot of comfort in listening to the music.

I am still grieving in certain moments, definitely not over it. I don't think people understand how Prince was able to convey strength and confidence to people who were desperately lonely and/or different. It's hard when I remember being so lonely as a child/teen but having songs like When Doves Cry or Anna Stesia or Forever in My Life or The Question of U or 17 days etc etc etc etc, Speak to you and give you the strength to kinda be yourself in this world no matter how much of an outcast you might be. The only way Prince could write the lyrics he wrote and pair it with the music he did, was because he truly understood loneliness. That's why I hate how he died so much but then I think, his children(songs) were with him and his best friend(God) came to get him and it gets better. I just wish everyone here and all of us learn to love each other and be there for each other because this won't last long. Stay together with your loved ones and forgive the ones who hurt you because you can't hold onto your pain forever. I learned through his music and through life that pain is a great motivator and a great crutch, if you don't let it go, it will consume you. Thank You Prince.

Yes. I am better able to contain it when others are around but not so much when no one is here. My loved ones support me and know what this death meant to me but I keep my grief to myself. It's not something I want to share with others, it's between me and him.

Welcome to "the org", Mumio…they can have you, but I'll have your love in the end nod

Yes, I am still grieving for Prince.
I felt walloped upside my head when I first heard, then cried days.
I left MN in 1985, only back very briefly (3 days) a few years later when my sister married, I was in the wedding, and have not been back since.
As I was walking outside today listening to Prince music,
I thought how much I'd love/but maybe too overcoming
to slip back into MN undetected/ privately by myself
to go to Paisley Park.

CNN has dubbed 2016 "the year the music died" in honor of P, Bowie, George Michael, and others we've lost this year.

Yes. Personally I don't imagine a time that his not being here will ever go unnoticed. It will always be felt to some degree.

No.

Grieving won't help Prince.

Prince is gone. His body incinerated.

Grieving won't help me.

Once in a while we play his music.

It sounds a bit cold, but this is how I feel. Grieving does help you to deal with the death of a loved one, but it can't go on forever. And as long as we have his music, he's not gone.

I feel the same and yesterday with George Micheal re-opened those wounds for me, I was a wreck for the day thats for sure. Was like ripping off a bandaid and rubbing salt in that wound again.

Thank you Prince for every note you left behind 💜

Wow - wish I could be that black and white -

but for me I am still crying Purple Tears -

I think I will always have that sadness in the corner of my heart.

Its my nature.

I cant be that clinical to think of the ashes even.

Thank you Prince for every note you left behind 💜
