Yes, I am. I listen to a couple of his songs everyday, mostly from the 1986-1993 era. They bring a smile to my face. "Good times" I murmur to myself and then tune out to a chillout radio. (I'm 48, so. )

I've been listening to his music compulsively since April. Every now and then there is something that makes me cry. I've never felt devastated, but I'm still very sad sometimes.

Yes. In a way, it's worse now than before. I can't listen to his music now. I guess it will take a long time for this one.

I am still grieving Prince's death, and now the news of George Michael has reignited everything. It's all so sad; they are gone too soon. I too find a lot of comfort in listening to the music.

This is how I feel. When I heard the news, I said not George too! I'm in my 40s and came of age in the 80s/early 90s. Their music was a part of the soundtrack to my life. Michael and Whitney too. I wasn't completely over Prince's death and to hear that George Michael passed months later just blew me away.

Yes, sometimes.

What really gets me worked up is seeing/hearing others talk about him as they articulate similar feelings. Knowing he was so loved helps and hurts at the sametime.

I suppose that will never go away.

Cause tomorrow is taking too long
and yesterday's too far away
and the reality that you believe in begins to bind.

No.

Grieving won't help Prince.

Prince is gone. His body incinerated.

Grieving won't help me.

Once in a while we play his music.

Wow - wish I could be that black and white -

but for me I am still crying Purple Tears -

I think I will always have that sadness in the corner of my heart.

Its my nature.

I cant be that clinical to think of the ashes even.

.
Well, I might relapse into some mourning or melancholia.

But that changes nothing in the situation.

At this time, f my mind needs it, I still have them b00tz.

And hopes for similar stuff from the Estate sometime.

Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

i'm in denial mode... it might be lame, but it is what it is... i just don't want to think about it... it's why i can't listen to his music... there's a whole shitload of angry and sad just under the surface that i'm keeping at bay

Yes and no. I don't cry anymore but I feel like I'm waiting. It's an odd feeling because I know I won't see him again in this lifetime. I went to Paisley Park in October and it felt like he had just stepped out for a minute to run an errand. Yet a part of me felt like I might see him around any corner. It's grief and I'm "fine," yet I can't shake this odd feeling of waiting for him to "come back." He literally entered his house one April night and stepped into eternity.

The depth and breadth of his career is mind boggling. Each album, with a new look, a new attitude, the songs, the clothes, the message, there was just so much. He didnt just release an album of songs, he reinvented himself time and time again. From the small details in his clothing to the beautiful lyrics, you felt like you were a part of something special. Theres a lot i will miss about him.

His absense just makes ever other artist look lazy and inept in comparison. He was about as complete and fearless an artist as you could find in any medium. I've come to accept that he is gone, but the hard part is knowing there will never be another like him in this world or at least in our lifetime.

It is still incomprehensible to me how this man could die in this way. There are times when I can think about him but cannot listen to his voice or watch his films.

Me too, and I also find comfort in the memories. I'm so grateful we had him and that I got to spend some time with him in this life.

I had my ups & downs, there are days where i am ok with it and continue to live life....then there are those days where i am still in disbelief and sadden what happened on 4/21 and post 4/21.

With the holiday season, I literally experienced Another Lonely Christmas. Before meeting up for a gathering, I went to a local cinema solo and saw Office Christmas Party. There was a scene where one of the main characters was having a conversation with himself and then talking to his dead dad, suddenly he goes on to mention Bowie & Prince cry

yes! i've wept all day knowing that i'm about to begin the first yr of many without him.

i'm choked up as i type, listening to the fireworks. same with bowie.

can u believe it's been a yr already?

my heart feels sick all over again.

no more shows, no more popping in at awards shows,no more random, delicious prince-ness anymore.

i'm going to bed now just make it stop. cry

I still have sadness in my heart too. No different than the sadness I have for others who I cared about or admired that are also gone now. He believed in god and so I'm sure he's now free from any pain suffered here on earth. Forever Resting Peacefully is how I'd like to think.

I guess things are magnified in some way by it being the end of the year and the start of a new one, I will always miss Prince, I accept that's how it will be for me. His music is such a big part of my life and that will never change but I do hope to get to a point where things like watching the London fireworks and hearing his music doesn't make me burst into tears.

Much peace and love to you all hug

Perhaps when the Estate finally starts properly releasing stuff from the vaults: unreleased songs, alternate versions, live shows, etc the greatness will make me weep.
