The Minneapolis Star Tribune is reporting on an assessment by Bremer Trust of various attorneys' actions and requested fees which either helped or drained the estate and the ability of potential heirs to pay upcoming taxes.

The legendary musician Prince was no pauper.

An inventory of his estate filed this week with a Minnesota court is giving a glimpse into the star's personal fortune.

According to the legal documents, the "Purple Rain" star had real estate holdings valued at more than $25 million, about $110,000 in bank accounts, cash and unclaimed property, and 67 10 ounce gold bars valued at more than $836,000.

More than $1.3 million is also listed as "cash on hand" from his NPG Music Publishing company.

No stocks or bonds were listed.

But the inventory is not the entirety of the estate.

There is still a trove of unreleased music that has yet to be valued, as well as other personal property including jewelry, studio equipment, instruments and more than a dozen vehicles.

His estate could also make money off of his likeness which, according to the paperwork, is still in the process of being valued.

The actual members of his estate are still also being sorted out.

There have been multiple claims filed by those seeking to be named as heirs since Prince died in April 2016 of an opioid overdose.

The singer left no will.

According to the Star Tribune a hearing is scheduled for Jan. 12 in Carver County probate court to help decide a number of issues including who qualifies as an heir.

Just dawned on me, did anyone see Love 4 One Another charities in the accounting documents?

I also did not see the fitness entity that owned the private plane that Prince was using from Atlanta. If Prince had shares/stakes in other companies, I would imagine that would be listed if distributions were made to him.

Tyka and Omarr want a formal hearing in regards to Sharon, Norrine and John Nelson's attorney, Lommen-Abdo, motion for approval of fees and payment for services. Interesting.

Is it normal for a lawyer to have a lawyer represent them in such hearing? Cause Lommen-Abdo has counsel representing him.

In addition, Tyka and Omarr submitted a motion to compell for Londell to release all documents and Bransford (Bremer Counsel). Bremer is asking to limit the compell from April to June (paraphrased). Wonder what they are looking for?

Also, after thought on the valuation process. The accounting, as we know, has been released. However the final valuation is not done.

I understand the difficulty in trying to valuate a lot of these items. There really is not much of a fair market category to compare items with, say the unreleased material. The Estate will have to find and hire an appraiser with experience in the relative items/market. This sounds like it can be expensive and lengthy. Add to that, a valuation will have to be determined to meet tax deadlines.

Will the IRS do a seperate valuation, more or less, to make sure that the estate is valued reasonably?

It looks like this estate business is going to take awhile to get it straightened out, unfortunately.
