Purple Rain - Computer Blue (The edit is shit.)
Around The World In A Day - Tambourine (I don't hate it as much as most seem to. It's just not as good as the other tracks.)

Sign O The Times - It's Gonna Be A Beautiful Night (Its amazing, but feels more out of place than any other track on the album.)

For You - Just As Long As We're Together - It's a jam dressed up as a song and it's only purpose is academic, showing off how good Prince is at doing it all himself in the studio.

Prince - It's Gonna Be Lonely - on another day it's the best song on the album but I think it's been rendered a bit obselete by Adore.

Dirty Mind - Do It All Night - a brilliant track but one so tied to the funk/new wave hybrid sound that the rest of the album fairly transcends it could be accused of being derivative.

Controversy - Ronnie, Talk To Russia - I mean, I love this track but I at least understand why others don't.

1999 - Free - always the odd one out, breaks the flow and feel of the album while relegating a better piano ballad (How Come U don't Call me) to a b-side and a song that actually would fit in (Moonbeam Levels) to bootlegsville for 30+ years. All probably on purpose as well.

Purple Rain - Take Me With U - I suppose it's close as anything on that album comes to being an unnecessary track with I Would Die 4 U already supplying the necessary straight-ish pop song.

ATWIAD - The Ladder - one of the few songs Prince released in the 80's that's just a bit weak imho. A poor cousin of Purple Rain; like America Eats its Young title track compared to Maggot Brain title track . Temptation, while also not that strong, is at least hilarious and loads of fun.

Parade - Girls & Boys - it's tough to find a weak moment on this album but i've always felt the melody to G&B feels a bit forced and schoolyard chantish in a bad way.

Sign O the Times - "I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man" - a brilliant first half that kind of runs out of ideas halfway through and has a big build up to nothing.

You all should check out the Prince poll in my sig! I'm thinking of extending the deadline. Hoping to count down the most beloved Prince songs, and all of your input is valuable.

For me:

For You: "So Blue": 3/10. I can't remember how it goes despite listening to it many times. Memorable in how forgettable it is.

Prince: "Still Waiting": 4/10. The country twang isn't my thing, and there just isn't a lot for me to grab onto in this.

Dirty Mind: "Gotta Broken Heart Again": 7/10. I quite like this, but it's in the middle of an awesome album without any weak points.

Controversy: "Jack U Off": 8/10. Tough to pick one here, as I really like everything! I guess I can say that Prince had better rockabilly-biting tunes, but this is still very enjoyable.

1999: "International Lover": 8.5/10. Awesome closer on the very best album ever made.

Purple Rain: "Take Me With U": 7.5/10. It's a bit lightweight for the album, but I think that's kind of the point. Good song sequenced among great songs.

Around the World in a Day: "Around the World in a Day": 4/10. I just haven't warmed to this after all of these years. The melody is too jarring, I guess.

Parade: "Do U Lie?": 7/10. Very enjoyable in context, but not as strong as a standalone track, I suppose. Still a good song, though.

Sign o' the Times: "Slow Love": 6/10. This and "Adore" are the only songs I'd rate less than 8 on the album. "Slow Love" is nice enough, but not special to me.

The Black Album: "Dead on It": 4/10. Just not my thing. Not particularly offensive, but I'd never go out of my way to hear it.

Lovesexy: "Dance On": 7/10. I've warmed to this, but it's still the only song on the album that I don't rate a 10/10.

Batman: "Lemon Crush": 5/10. A bit of a throwaway, which isn't bad in and of itself, but I just haven't warmed to this like I have the others on the album.

For You: "My Love is Forever" (...to be honest, I don't listen to/like this album much outside of "Soft and Wet" so any of the others could have gone here.)

Prince: "With You" (just not special, on an otherwise great album)

Dirty Mind: "Gotta Broken Heart Again" (cheesey, otherwise a perfect album)

Controversy: "Ronnie, Talk to Russia" (I love this song!)

Prince - With you, this slowie never ignites - boring 3/10

Dirty Mind - Sister - real hard as its brilliant, but its not Uptown or Do it all night - 8/10

Controversy - Jack u off, still a good song but just a bit lacking next to the brilliance of Tracks 1 - 3 6/10

1999 - Lady Cab Driver - It's just sex and a bit angry 7/10

Purple Rain - Take me with u - Blame Apples singing, but I still love it. 9/10

ATWIAD - Tambourine -yes its about pussy, but a very average song 6/10

Parade - Venus de milo - An instrumental, okay but its 2nd rate on a 1st rate and classic album7/10

SOTT - Slow Love, just a brilliant song, but this is an exceptional album 9/10

Black Album - 2nigs - a good instrumental, but just that 6/10

Lovesexy - Dance on, love it just not as much as the other 8/10

You should have stopped this list at Lovesexy, Batman is such a lesser album than the others. Also only the jams named on 4u/Prince and Batman are shit, and the rest are all decent (So Dirty Mind to Lovesexy, there was not one song that was not at least decent).

The bottom jams on Dirty Mind, 1999, Purple Rain, Parade, SOTT and Lovesexy are all great songs and are much better than all the music on most of his lesser albums. It is sad to list them, as they are great songs. But these albums are such classics, that the bar is set real high.
