On "Day of the Dead", a radio DJ publishes the heartfelt letter he wrote to Prince the day after he passed away On November 2 (Dia de Los Muertos/Day of the Dead), a radio DJ based in Texas published the letter he wrote to Prince the day after he passed away.

Is he on the org? These quotes in particular are the deep ones to me personally:
"I discovered myself thru your actions, and music obviously." "I got it. I think I knew you, almost like a friend. " "You left me hopeful." "Prince, it’s a bit different than someone who discovers the Beatles or the Doors, or Bob Marley, or Jimi Hendrix. Those legends left a legacy to be discovered, and researched. I was with you thru the whole time, the rise and fall. The dark and light we rode the trip together. You left me feeling like we were the best of friends"

Thank u all for posting/commenting and sharing this.....i am the author of the letter. i wrote it the day he died. it was very emotional relese for me....very cathartic. im totally surprised that the ORG picked this up...i am indeed a member, but hadnt been on since he passed. i just didnt find the need to be. but now, i may have to share more stories. im honored that others feel the same way, and we share these emotions. he's no good to me dead! | |

just one more tidbit....in early June, i was admitted into the hospital with chest pains...long story short, i had a mild heart attack and was scheduled for open heart surgery....it was for tues June 7th. (yup...his bday!)
