State your all-time favourite Prince album, and be judged...

Just one album, please. Mine is Controversy. worship

NOTE: Your 'all-time favourite' album does not necessarily equate to what you think Prince's 'best' album is.

Sign O' The Times...definitly no fillers. Despite lack of production, best songs ever, especially growing when played live!

That's a good point, I think. What do you mean by that?

I mean that some songs really sound like "demos". When I first heard the album, i didn't like it. Compared to the previous albums released since 1982, the sound was awful. But the songs themselves are great, i became totally enthusiastic over them after watching the SOTT-Movie at cinema (on a really loud sound system, btw.

Ah, I see; I thought you meant something else. I quite like 'underdeveloped' sounding songs on albums. One of the many reasons Dirty Mind sounds so real.

Sign O The Times.

It's got highest all time greatest joint density and
it's got a certain thematic vibe, despite it's being
a magpie collection of various projects. I love it!!

Actually I only listen to

"Crystal Ball/Moviestar/RebirthOTheFlesh/Shockadelica"

and make believe they're on Sign o The Times as well.

Perhaps that's clouding my judgement...

Last week i made compilations of the original "Camille" and "Crystal Ball"-albums, so i had to use much SOTT-tracks. Unfortunately i haven't got any good recordings of "The Ball" and "Rebirth of the flesh", but nevertheless i like my "new" CD's!
