Prince actually said he was a lot more okay with folks trading boots than buying them. So if you really believe he somehow cares about bootlegs anymore, you'd probably be better off downloading this.

. - Yes, Prince really hated people making money on his music. Thats the reason he fought so hard against bootleggers, YouTube and streaming sites.

No he wasn't. It was a lie. He said it around the time he was in London for his Hit'n'Run concerts and his promo tour for his band project 3rdeyegirl and their upcoming album. At that time he threatened some blogs and websites with a "1 million dollar lawsuit" because they shared bootlegs for free. They all had to shut down. Normally the mainstream media didn't notice his threats against fans on the internet, but at that time he was in their focus because of his popular hit'n'run concerts. And to avoid bad press he covered his ass with this lie that he'd be okay with sharing for free, and that he was only going against bootleggers who sell unauthorized recordings. I wonder if it exists in 1080p, seems a shame to release it on 480p DVD. Although still grateful that someone put it out there, been wanting to watch this show since it happened. "You always get the dream that you deserve, from what you value the most" -Prince 2013

I want this so bad. The sampler is amazing. But I respect P and what he believed in and fought for so I will wait for it to be officially released. That being said what are they waiting for?!? They need money and I'm sure I'm not the only one willing to throw it at them for official releases so get on with it. It's a hurtful place, the world, in and of itself. We don't need to add to it. We all need one another. ~ PRN

Looks like whatever the resolution is is excellent. As for when and how to buy it, I made a commitment to buy one now for myself and when it comes out on official release, to buy another one for someone who really wants it but can't afford it. There are ways to do things if one uses their heart and mind.

Some more video snippets have leaked. Man that horn section was TIGHT! Normally I would hate video where Prince is playing the James Brown roll and not playing an instrument but this band is so tight I don't even care. And Hannah does really well on drums I'm not even missing John Blackwell. Paisley Park is in your heart

. I will NEVER understand why he was so angry at fans who only wanted to get access to his music. As a fan of James and Sly, he would probably have wanted to have the most stuff from them as possible. Maybe because he didnt feel his music should be heard in not-so-great quality. . But the problem is: he DIDNT release the music himself. Other artists sell their concerts at their site. Fans have an option to buy good quality stuff from the artist

Watching Nothing Compares 2 U and at the end when the trumpet and sax come in Prince kind of bites his lip and it almost looks like he's getting a bit emotional. I love the beginning and ending of this version of the song. Some beautiful piano playing from Cassie and there's something about the horns at the end. I'm sure I'm in the minority but I think Sinead O'Connor's version of this song is way too cold. In fact I never have the urge to listen to it. But I'll listen to Prince and Shelby or the P&M version any day of the week. Paisley Park is in your heart

didn't even bother with the 3rd show. but the first 2, he barey picks up an instrument. Vegas-medley heavy. background singers singing lead. too many horns. played-out setlists. Shelby. 3rdEyeGirl, who never gelled as a band (particularly the drummer, who never learned how to keep a beat).

. - I usually feel frustrated when Prince doesnt pick an instrument for several songs in a row, but I liked the snippets a lot, specially because of the horn section. Hannah improved a lot over the years, but I still miss John.

Incredible shows, and as always, he is trying a different vibe, and all three nights were different. I think the energy of the entire gang on stage doing dances and having a party in concert #2 is the most intense part for me, because I don't think I had seen anything like this, where he is trying to feature everyone as an equal group and keep himself as just the band leader ,not the feature.
I can't even imagine how intense this would have been front row center. I have seen him that way twice (or thrice) in the past. Unforgetable. The fun, the humor, the showmanship, the setlist strategy. 3rd show is the power stripped down rock n roll Prince show that some fans have dreamed about.
I love that this has all come out. If you're a long time Prince nut like me, you will most likely be moved. He is happy to be there and really into it. If you've seen Prince in more concerts and performances (in person live too) than you can remember, you will know that sometimes he is really into it, happy, and it elevates it into an level of intensity and fun that is incomparable. This seems like it was one of those times. His DJ set at the end is fun. He even seems to add in Housequake unexpectedly judging from bandmember reaction. If a piano tour pro shot drops soon, well, it would be so cool.

I felt the same about shows 1 & 2 when I got the audio a while ago, some great moments but a bit cabaret. However, I appreciate them more after seeing the footage, it's great to see him dancing and smiling. . You should watch show 3 though, it's fucking awesome. I loved the 3EG shows, I know they were not his greatest band but even the older songs sounded fresh and raw.

I think the horns were amazing and they don't sound Vegas like at all. I think these along with the early 2014 UK shows are some of the best live shows he's done. I actually prefer Montreux 2013 to 2009. Paisley Park is in your heart

Yes the band here definitely got equal billing and sometimes Prince would even step back and let the horns be out front. At the end of Nothing Compares 2 U Prince goes to grab the mic like he's going to end the song but the two horn guys keep playing. Prince steps back, smiles and sort of gestures to the guys to keep going. At the very end you can tell he's a little emotional. I know for some they want to see Prince not 11 horn players but I love the tightness of these guys and doing it all with dance moves too. Paisley Park is in your heart

Yes, I also thought I've rarely seen him so honestly emotional and truly vulnerable as on that song. (I felt he was trying to hide it.) Then I noticed from other clips too that on that third night, he seems tired or something. His eyes look a bit crooked too. Maybe this was a sign of his getting older, or maybe he was just tired by the last night at his age. 3 nights in a row is a lot for anyone at 54 years old who doesn't sleep much. And there might've been after-parties after each show (?). That's a lot of energy to put out. It makes me wonder if he was actually aging like the rest of us humans (!!) but was very good at hiding it in those last few years with, as RS said in their last interview with him, "heavily retouched" photos that he would put out. Of course I love Prince the MOST as this older man he grew into with all his eye wrinkles and humanness. I even think I saw a bald spot on the back of his head through his afro in another recent video. I have always been most interested in him in his last years and thought he was most sexy and beautiful then, as an older man. [Edited 12/14/16 5:28am]

The third night with 3rdeyegirl is my personal favourite. It got me emotional as well...
Thought Ida looked so sad, but that could just be me...or the diamond drops under her eyes.
Anyway they all did an amazing job, three VERY special nights
