Does anyone still buy physical boots? I used to back in the day because i'm a sucker for the packaging. The boot covers & inlay booklets were much better than P's own releases. I fear the market is rapidly shrinking especially as 4ever has sold so poorly. I hope Purple Rain Deluxe is properly promoted.
💜

I've done it once (Montreux 09 DVD and will now do it twice I've decided (for this) because there's no other way to see it.
I hope Prince will forgive it.

I can't wait to see this again. I was there third night.
The Love We Make was an unexpected surprise and The Breakdown felt like something special was happening on stage. The crowd chanting in unison also gave me chills. So much love in the room.

This is the one I really want to see.
Also night 2 which I believe has "When We're Dancing Close and Slow". I can't even imagine what it must've been like to watch him perform that song in his later years.

Edit: I just looked at the setlist and I believe that was performed on night 3 also. How was it? Did he play the whole song?
[Edited 12/4/16 5:59am]

It may have cut short/abrupt. I recall it being part of the evening's quietly intense set. Much of the performance that night was unexpected. I hope I get to see it again soon.

Of course there are other ways. I Haven't paid for Montreux 09, and downloaded it for free. It's just a matter of time until Montreux 2013 will circulating for free as well.

Not asking WHERE/HOW to find this. Just curious to know if it's already available for free download. I already found where to purchase the DVD, but not interested in paying for it.

Thank you

Just watched night 1.
Quality is not too bad, But I wish this was out as a blu ray.
It deserves a HD version.
It's not even 16:9...

But I guess you can't complain.
Wishfull thinking for some official release someday (Ye. Right smile)

He's always so good there ...Montreux 2009 is unreal. When he plays Empty Room (one of my all-time faves) it's a come-to-Jesus experience. You know how he likes to lick his fingers, etc ? Here he's really cut his hand and he licks it ... oh god. tease

I'm no expert at the tech part of this. Is the quality as good as Show 1 of Montreux 2009? If so, I'd be happy with that. im asking for a comparison vs show 1 because show 2 of 2009 was filmed too dark.
