I've had a reply from the publisher of the magazine about this being sent to the UK and the cost would be $40 omg Is there any kind person who could buy a copy for me and send it to me when it's out on newsstands? I can pay via Paypal and am more than happy to add a few dollars on top for going to the trouble of getting and posting it.

Thank you for your interest in our Special Prince Issue. As a local magazine, our single-copy sales occur at newsstand locations in the greater Minneapolis and St. Paul trade area. However, we do have a limited number of magazines available for purchase through our office for fans of Prince. Please be patient as we keep up with the unanticipated demand.

I don't feel very good about them making $15 off Prince (and much more in the U.K.) - for every copy they sell.

Theres a LOT I could do that I don't.

Maybe Prince would be okay with it. What do you think?

Here's the response I got:

Yes, I thought the same thing. But maybe it might have some rare photo's and other stuff that hasn't been seen before. I'm hoping.

They were exceptionally pleasant when I emailed them. I asked them about the content. This was their response:

"Nearly all of the content in the magazine is about Prince and covers his entire life and his different personas. The magazine is broken into sections such as: The Hometown Kid, The Musical Genius, The Peacock, The Press, and The Man. There are interviews with those who were close to Prince, as well as essays from local writers about his impact on the Twin Cities and what he meant to Minnesotans."

I'll be ordering a copy of this. Sounds great.

The expanded version of my book PRINCE and The Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions 1983-1984 was released in November 2018. (www.amazon.com/gp/product/1538114623/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_bibl_vppi_i0) or www.facebook.com/groups/1...104195943/

Really disappointed in this issue. Expected more than what they gave us. Little to no focus on Prince's career after the 90s. Very little on Paisley Park. Give us some history on how Paisley Park came to be and why Prince chose to call Chanhassen home. Give us more on Purple Rain, First Avenue, Glam Slam, Mpls Sound etc. How about stories from fans who attended concerts or other events at Paisley Park? I'm sure there's a lot more I'm missing. anyway for 65 pages I thought it was quite thin and not really worth the money.
