What album should they release from the vault? We know about Prince 4ever and Purple Rain remaster.
The question is what should they release after that?
I would say that they release a new album with more current songs or newer songs that may play better to radio. Then they should release Roadhouse Garden as a Prince and the Revolution album (Perhaps Christmas next year).
What do you think would be the best release of Prince's music? 99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment

All of the "finished" unreleased projects .... Camille LP, dream factory, crystal ball, roadhouse garden, 1989's rave, madhouse 24, etc etc

I'd like to see those finished projects 'wrapped' for release. A kind of version of what happens to literary drafts and papers when authors die or when living authors donate their papers to a museum for researchers to access.
The format of posthumous 'Letters and Papers' is well established historically and, with Dylan having recently sold his version of the vault, prior to being elevated to Nobel Poet Laureate, his demos, notes, versions, whatever, are now part of this form of documentation.
I'm sure this is among the options being considered and even if it isn't yet, I've no doubt that there will be approaches from universities and museums in due course which will result in PP thinking in that direction with at least some of the archive. I think a large expansive box set of unreleased (but finished) albums would be the best way to go. that way you can 'sneak in' things like the Flesh and Madhouse stuff as i doubt these type of recordings would find a commercial audience anywhere else. as well as the more well regarded stuff like Camille, CB, Rave.
I woulld save dream facytory and Roadhouse Garden for a unique releases

I totally agree with that last statement nothing should be done to the unreleased tracks.the feel of say the 83 version on Extraloveable is raw gritty but it's all Prince. The converting Paisley to a resource center for educational purposes is cool we know not before they milk the vault very slowly the upcoming Hits is a tease in the fact that like it has been said the unreleased tracks could easily been put in the proper order by the many sources that already exist a box set would be smart in the fact that basically all the Camille tracks have been released some of the DF and CB material got released on the second version of Crystal Ball between 82/83 there is a album worth of material prince talked about the time, vanity and madhouse tracks I'm sure are low on the priority list a volume set of unreleased music done in each particular year will be the only way to put all his music in some kind of sensible order.

I think it would be the next logical release because of the huge sales they are going to get for the Purple Rain remaster (huge sales relative to today standards.). 99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment

I think deluxe box sets are a good way to go for non album release material. However, if they release an album like Roadhouse Garden and there is more than one version of a song they could release other versions with a box set for a specific time period like Vault 80-83 etc. It's a way to "sale" the song twice in a way. But make the hardcore fans happy. 99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment

None of the ones that already have a large number of the tracks out there on albums he released during his lifetime. Crystal Ball, in particularily, would be something I would not be so interested in, as just about every track from it has been released.
