Prince was a master teacher and he was so very generous with his time. And, Andy has come a LONG way from her early days with P and the NPG. For instance, she had never even played the electric guitar before Prince put one in her hands and told her that she would have to play it if she was going to tour with him and the NPG. And, she had only been playing the acoustic guitar for four years. She was still a novice. Can you imagine having the courage it took for this 21-year-old young lady to step onto the world stage with Prince, the guitar GOD, and play in his band!! She describes the 2-3 months of practice before performing live, on the biggest of stages, as "boot camp."

Initially, Prince fans were impatient and felt that she didn't belong on stage with P, but he couldn't have cared less what these fans thought. Indeed, he gave zero fu#*ks!! He saw something in Andy, other than her stunningly good looks, and he had made the decision to invest in her. I like to say that he "poured himself into her." The rest is now history.

I love this interview! Thanks, Love! I posted it in the very early pages of this thread, but now is a good time for another listen. BTW: She probably doesn't mention the dance at the Forum because she didn't actually meet him until later that night. It might have been staged, but I don't think so. One commenter, pinkcashmere23, said that she read/saw an interview where someone asked Andy what were the first words Prince said to her and she responded, "Are you married?" I'm going to have to try to track down that interview.

Yes, they are both beautiful. I miss him too. I don't think I'll ever quite get over his passing, especially the way it happened. And, yes, P was quite the photographer. I would love to see an exhibit, or perhaps a book, of his photos.

I read that article at the time of publication, but I can't remember her exact words; however, it would not surprise me if she described her relationship with Prince as "intense." In fact, I'd bet that most people who worked with the Purple Yoda would describe the experience as intense.

I think the photo used as the backdrop for her lyrics to "When Stars Collide" was likely taken by Prince, as well. I wonder where the photo shoot was held.

and what a day it's been! i swear i'm fatigued just thinking about all of the back and forth of it!!

but anyhoo, at the end of the day i am still convinced that prince and andy allo were playing up their relationship for the benefit of people who were wondering here on the ORG, and other places, about their relationship. they were aware of ongoing gossip and maybe having a bit of a laugh at our expense. that's just my opinion, of course

Also, you and another poster keep making a big deal of the fact that I briefly visited LSA. And, what???? It's a free country, last time I checked. However, if you must know, a comment on this site led me to LSA, where I was stunned to learn that something I had reported here was being distorted, and that distortion was now being reported as an actual fact "from theOrg." I am referring to my report, from a reliable source, that Prince had a very, very close platonic friend who lives, with her young son, in the Caribbean. Imagine my shock when I saw that my report had now become that of an island lover, possibly with Prince's love child. So, of course, I chimed in. After not too long, I was out of there because, as I stated there, I felt "like I had wandered into a psych ward." But, to be clear, if I chose to post morning, noon, and night on LSA, that would be nobody's business but my own. I only took a few valuable moments here to address this point because it keeps coming up.

Lastly, I raised the question of a possible engagement between Prince and Andy because of this photo, which I have posted again below, because, as they say, "a picture is worth a thousand words." Notice that she is wearing a diamond band on her left ring finger, reportedly P's diamond pinkie ring. That makes this image very suggestive. Heck, have you ever seen Sheila wearing Prince's ring? (And, I don't mean to start a war (or BLOW UP this thread) with that question. I'm just asking.)

In the final analysis, I just don't think it is an accident or coincidence that Andy chose this photo to post with her tribute to her beloved Prince. It would be interesting to know if this photo had been previously released. I'll have to do some digging to see what I can find out in this regard. For now, I'm over and out.

I had not been back there since making a few posts awhile back to correct misinformation that resulted from information I posted here on the org. I recently lurked for a few moments and I was shocked to see that they are calling me and Latin everything but a child of God over there. Some of their members are even giving blow-by-blow updates on my posts!! I was stunned. I mean, I was like !!!

Be that as it may, I don't care what they say about me, but I am really bothered by the things they are saying about Andy over there. And, now that her brother is manning her social media during her retreat, they are even maligning him. Some of them are convinced that Andy herself (or her brother) is FlyOnTheWall!! Actually, I don't think they really believe that. Instead, they just want to try to find anything with which to tarnish Andy's pristine reputation.

They are also accusing Andy of trying to capitalize off Prince's passing, which is beyond insidious. It is downright evil. From what I have seen, she has done nothing of the kind. I guess they don't want her to write songs about Prince or answer questions from fams on her social media about him or certain songs they recorded together, like "U Will B," which Prince was inspired to write within days of meeting her.
