Wow, that was some of the funniest keyboard playing I've ever seen Prince perform. Really enjoyed that. But like was often the case, Andy's voice and Prince's arrangement didn't exactly go well together. She's a pop-folkster singing a funk-soul song. Her voice is good when used correctly and bad when it's not. But again, lemme repeat, funky, funky keyboards.

I agree-though her voice and stage presence had improved greatly by summer 2013.She's been sounding great lately but she has been sticking with acoustic performances.She found her niche and is much more comfortable.And I agree about P's keyboard playing-very funky!

Once I read the poem and the lyrics to the Story of You and I, I too also thought that they had been sexually involved. To me it would not suit her personality to come right out and say they were intimate. Inferring is one thing and would not have gone against the "P is private" philosopy at the time. Odd that it seems that he tried to mend fences with AA. Got to hand it to P though to keep up with the young women at his age at the time. No pun intended.

Just like any other couple, they would "break up to make up." This is how Prince describes the ups and downs of what he calls "a lifetime love affair" in his second verse of the song:

By her second verse, Prince had worn her down. She was once again "clay" in the "sculptor's" beautiful hands. Check it.

Their back-and-forth continued for the remainder of Prince's life. I know it's hard for some to accept, but P spent the last few years of his life trying to woo Andy back, and regain her trust. This led him to take two unprecedented steps: 1) including duets with her on his album (AOA) and 2) releasing (on TIDAL) the acoustic album of love songs with her. He was trying to get "some time" with her. Speaking of "Time," that song is also very telling about Prince and Andy's story, especially this part.

Lastly, with regard to JH, I can't speak to what did or did not happen between her and Prince. But what I do know is that just about everyone who worked closely with Prince, including Judith, knew that P was madly in love with Andy, who was known to his friends as his "girlfriend." It's really sad that fate cut Prince's life (and love) short.
