When our correspondent was abruptly summoned to an audience with the legendary artist in his Minneapolis studios, he had no idea what to expect...

We are seated at his feet because we are supposed to be asking Prince questions: we’ve been summoned to Paisley Park at short notice, apparently because Prince “had a brainstorm in the middle of the night, two nights ago” and decided this was the best way to announce a forthcoming European tour.

First, there was a tour of the studio accompanied by Trevor Guy, who works for Prince’s record label NPG: he’s friendly, effusive about his boss’s talents and a little evasive when someone asks him whereabouts in Minneapolis Prince actually lives. (“He doesn’t live here. I don’t know where he lives.”)

Then we were told we were getting a treat, which turned out to be listening to some cover versions Prince’s current protege, Andy Allo, recorded with the man himself on guitar. While we’re listening to Andy Allo sing Roxy Music’s More Than This, Prince suddenly appears on the stage and beckons us over. Read More...

I wondered that too. From what Prince posted on twitter it sounds like he played the Tidal stream. I saw his tweet on someone elses twitter last night.You could probably find it by typing @prince @andyallo in the search box on twitter if you want to see it. He also posted a pic of the cat from Shrek with it which was cute.

She seems to have their support. Her brother posted on Facebook about touring with Prince and Andy in 2011 and he seemed to really love him. He was very upset when he passed and family and friends were asking about Andy and he posted that she was holding it together the best she could. From the way Dr.Funkenberry talked on his podcast in June,Andy was having a pretty hard time with everything.

Yes Bryan's the younger one. Her brother Christopher was the one that posted about touring with them. She seems to be doing better than she was in June.I think she's using the Music Mondays as a way to heal and an outlet to share memories about him with the fans. She said we're all in this together.

Flyonthewall you have mentioned the health scare that Andy didn't know about. You seem very informed on their relationship so I was wondering if you know WHAT health scare? The one everyone is just guessing about? Do you know for a fact there was a health scare that would lead to his death? And you think she was so in love she wanted to marry somebody thirty something years older than she is with the rep he had for staying with one woman?

Leopard52, Prince's sister Tyka has gone on record saying that she knew for two years that her brother's time here was coming to an end. With regard to the age difference, this is not unheard of. Many, many men, particularly vibrant, wealthy ones, marry younger women. And, there is no shortage of young women who would have jumped at the chance to be with Prince. Don't forget, until around 2014 or so, P was fine as cat hair, still.

Your post is hard to follow. In other words, you contradict yourself. You say he pushed her away but then you say he wants in. What exactly is your train of thought here? Do you have a point to make? If so, can you clarify?

I can't make it any clearer, anangellooksdown. If time allows, read through the thread again. All I can say is that Andy probably felt this same confusion.

I'm not sure when this was taken, but the Umbria Jazz Festival was early in their relationship, before he went back to his afro.

These were taken at the Sziget Festival in Hungary, August 8, 2011, in front of a crowd of an estimated 60.000 people. This was Prince's one and only Hungarian performance.

I saw a good interview with Andy from last year with T.I.R.M. It was done when she was in NYC for the release of Hello. She talks a bit about Superconductor and her musical influences.
