? They are not appearing to want to work with JayZ. Did you not read the article? They've streamed and stole 15 albums from Prince. Does that sound like the Estate wants to do business with JayZ? If they did, they wouldn't have sold some things to Universal. No, I read the claim filed by Tidal which you should read because the media is not reporting on the claim and as usual you are getting only half story.

I subscribe to Tidal and on June 7 when those 15 albums suddenly appeared and in particular the 'Black' album I was very shocked - not sure Tidal would have had Prince's consent on that one album alone. Tidal have put up two more albums recently, so whatever is going on between Tidal and the Estate clearly Tidal have access to ALL P's music.....

Prince exact words. Read em and weep Universal. But on a serious noteit would be nice if Universal would want it on more platforms...but you know damn well PRINCE would not have wanted that Straight Jacket Funk Affair

You will also see the Digital Music News has made factual errors, such as claiming that HitNRun Phase One was his final album.
I would not trust their reporting.
And as stated, how would Tidal have gotten high-quality files to post? It's unlikely that P would have let them loose if there weren't an agreement in place.
And we've already seen the estate rush into things without proper knowledge (the Tribute).

. JayZ and Beyonce are as shady as they come!! Greedy Vultures!! They never gave a rats arse about Prince!! Where is their tributes? Beyonce coming out with her Lemonade when Prince died. Oh, that's respectful? And, then having her "Beyonce Day" in Minnesota -- Prince's home state after he died?!! These people care about no one but THEMSELVES. . You don't think they worship the devil? Oh, so their music and videos are just about little fairies? . Beyonce went to the dark side when she got involved with JayZ. Just look at her, and her music--that says everything. She used to be a good christian girl......now, she is posessed.

Preach on, sista. Reading that Tidal claim backwards and forwards, it seems to be about enforcement of the limited order for a Special Administration by Bremer, an soon-to-expire order which in the interim didn't allow Bremer to cut the new deal they have announced with UMPG without prior agreement between TIDAL and NPG and the OK of the heirs.
I'd also suspect that the UMPG announcement, if not a total f-up is a strategic attempt to undermine TIDAL's deal with Prince (which was for all the gold already out) in an effort to present WB/UMG as the rightful 'heirs' to the already-released 'music assets' when in fact other than a plan mentioned by Prince for a new compilation (which may or may not have been in the form of the imminent 4EVER), he had quite vocally favoured Jay Z's operation well into the future.
I also note that TIDAL's claim is sensitively made, asking for an enforcement rather than being a 'lawsuit' proper (in contrast to the Bremer response). From that, I'd take two things..that they know where they stand vis a vis their rights and that they're sure that Bremer have acted incorrectly. Tidal don't want to go against NPG because they want the possibility of handling The Vault assets. Bremer seems to be trying to get a permanent position on administration by showing they could cut the big deal but they've blown the whole thing by acting beyond their remit. They're OUT.
I'd now like to BET that Tidal win this claim. I'd also hazard a guess that TIDAL will drop 'Black is the new Black' very shortly, possibly in advance of a court decision. If they got it, they can put it out against 4EVER and I'd reckon that's EXACTLY how Prince would want it. [Edited 11/16/16 18:22pm] “I don't believe anything, but I have many suspicions.”

Thank you I have not sure why anyone would think that Prince would sit back and not get a check for those files. No way is Tidal going to risk copyright infringement without some agreement. I also think a lot of crazy ass people think Jay Z has no attorney's at this company. I really hope the court takes a good long look at Breamer, Universal, Koppelmen and Mc Millian. Perhaps these folks need to be removed as admins of the estate.

I don't know anything about that claim to worship the devil but just the fact that they used someone's death to promote themselves is so LOW CLASS and evil in itself, that's why I have no respect for them. Period! And who cares about her music being better today than it was before. She still DESPICABLE TRASH!

It's clear that P chose Tidal to be the home for his music. They should honour any planned releases but I think that his music should be redristibuted to all main streaming platforms in time. Prince: 1958-infinity. Thank U for everything.

The Star Tribune reports NPG Music Publishing and NPG Records, Inc. filed a lawsuit that alleges Tidal only had permission to stream Prince's latest album exclusively for 90 days. HITNRUN Phase One debuted as a Tidal exclusive in September 2015, a couple of months after the artist pulled all of his music from other streaming services. In May of last year, Tidal was the exclusive home to Prince's Rally 4 Peace concert in Baltimore after the death of Freddie Gray. . https://www.engadget.com/2016/11/17/prince-estate-tidal-lawsuit-streaming-rights/

That 90 days would have been up in December 2015 - when Prince was still able to file a claim himself against Tidal. Do you think anyone would've kept his music up against contract while he was alive? His lawsuits were well known, so this sounds to me like Londell and Koppellman being sloppy again. (See: Tribute concert organization; rezoning for Paisley Park).

It is slopply and I know Kopplement and and Londell are due to have their time expire sometime this month so we will see if they are still on the job.
