Bremer have f-ed up...erm...royally and their more recent 'copyright violation' claim (which *may* possibly have substance on one or more items issued by Tidal on Prince's birthday as I'm not sure they should have issued the Girl 6 soundtrack but that's just my guess, based on a suspicion that, as a package, it may have come under a different set of rights-holding) I see as but a desperate attempt to save face in the media. While UMPG may be backing them, I'm not too sure that NPG or the heirs CAN. Prince's own reference to TIDAL being generous circa HITnRUN 1 sounds like he had 'cashed the check' and the fact that HITnRUN 2 was released would only confirm that tune because we know our man is quick to holler when he don't get paid.

I'd also suspect that the UMPG announcement, if not a total f-up is a strategic attempt to undermine TIDAL's deal with Prince (which was for all the gold already out) in an effort to present WB/UMG as the rightful 'heirs' to the already-released 'music assets' when in fact other than a plan mentioned by Prince for a new compilation (which may or may not have been in the form of the imminent 4EVER), he had quite vocally favoured Jay Z's operation well into the future.

Thank you I have not sure why anyone would think that Prince would sit back and not get a check for those files. No way is Tidal going to risk copyright infringement without some agreement. I also think a lot of crazy ass people think Jay Z has no attorney's at this company. I really hope the court takes a good long look at Breamer, Universal, Koppelmen and Mc Millian. Perhaps these folks need to be removed as admins of the estate.

It is slopply and I know Kopplement and and Londell are due to have their time expire sometime this month so we will see if they are still on the job.
