Then shouldn't we all commit suicide so that we can become supernatural beings that can float around and help everyone who needs it? Wow. Who knew that Prince would become a ominpotent God-like creature capable of helping ALL of his fans with their little issues at the same time. He must be having trouble processing his newfound ability to be all places at all times and know exactly what we all need to feel better. Whether the trolls believe or not, it isn't hurting you, it's not ur place to judge and its giving someone comfort and helping them through a tough time so why be cruel about it, just ignore the thread!

Equally, it not ur place to falsify or at the very least, transpose personal non factual dreams and pass them off as factual contact with a dead person. This should be in the politics and religion thread, simply bacause it asks for blind faith rather than scientific evidence.

I agree.

I don't think it's necessary to state this in a hurtful way though like some people tend to do.

Got another sign last night. It couldn't have been a coincidence. 2nd time since 4/21. Anyone else? He loves us a LOT.

Wow, it could NOT have been a coincidence.

You should be on the cover of every magazine in the world and every news story should be about you because of all the people in the world you have the ability to communicate with Prince from the great beyond.

Why, oh why, is this what the org has become?

And really WHY do the MODERATORS allow this nonsense?

To be a bit of devil's advocate, when someone starts a thread with the subject line "He's still with us" -- as a statement of fact, not an opinion, and they mean in the spiritual/supernatural sense -- they should know that there are people who may feel just as passionately that such things are not possible or true, and those people may think that opinions contrary to theirs are ultimately damaging. Or perhaps their personal religious beliefs might lead them to view such talk as veering into offensive idolatry (for total clarity: I'm not saying I necessarily think either of those things; I just know that some folks do). They might feel bothered by statements like "He's still with us" as someone else might feel by a statement like "he's totally dead and gone" or something.

-

Just trying to emphasize the range of strong opinions that discussion of spiritual/supernatural/afterdeath experience can engender. Not excusing rudeness, just noting that religous talk can bring out passions on many sides.

Threads like this should really be in the Politics & Religion forum, or perhaps a new one should be created so that people who believe in such stuff can have an ideological echo chamber that the rest of us can steer well clear of.

The other day we purchased a new oven as our old was not working properly. We had the old one in our garage and called a local scrap metal dealer. He said he'd take the old one but we'd have to pay him to collect it. At that very moment we noticed a small cage truck idling across the road with old whiteware in the back. My wife ran over and asked the big Tongan bloke if he wanted our old oven and he said yes and would grab his son and come back later to get it.

We couldn't believe it. Could that really be a coincidence? And then I realised Prince sent us that big Tongan. That's what he meant by "Something big is coming"

The guy never came back and we're still stuck with the old oven but that's so Prince when you think about it.

Well the other day, my tablet started playing Way Back Home on its own biggrin . Prince hadn't visited in a while so I was glad . He is Not an omnipresent. Maybe he is not actually going anywhere but just connecting with us telepathically from heavens realm. I dreamed a few days before he passed that he had died but I paid no attention to the dream. He also came to my dream the morning of April 21st very briefly. I didn't know he had died yet.
I asked Prince what he was planning to do. He told me , I'm going to look for the ladder. I asked him what that meant. All he said was, sometimes it snows in April. - book D.M.S.R.

I don't go for the supernatural kind of take on it but when the shock of April hit, I was so busy I had no time to check out even the slightest details. All I knew was I had a couple of condolence texts from people on the day without them actually specifying who had died. When I found out it was P, I just shut that right off and didn't get into playing his music, catching the speculation and press or ANYTHING.
Because of this, I started to get little notions that 'Hmmm....is he REALLY dead?'

I've since seen a theory that he isn't which was dissed by others who had the 'illuminati killed him' thing going (I always refer these people to Robert Shea and Robert Anton Wilson's 'Illuminatus' or tell them to STOP reading Dan Brown and/or listening to David Icke podcasts but do they listen?) but I thought it was very feasible and expanded my own notions.

The kind of vibe I get is therefore about clues left before he 'departed' or things which come up in news stories that seem to have his hand and brand of 'sick' humour embedded.

I wouldn't go so far as to say I believe he's still around but I would not be at all surprised to wake up one morning to 'OUTRAGE AS PRINCE RETURNS'

Just sayin

I think Illuminati may have killed Prince But
I don't listen to any of those conspiracy theorists and actually only even heard of one of those David Icke . I only know of him because Prince read his books. I learned about the Elite Satan worshipers from Prince. I knew there was something like that going on because I read my Bible but I didn't even know that stuff started already until Prince had died. One world government is on its way. Prince tried to warn you but YOU didn't listen

Please don't take this the wrong way, anangellooksdown. But I am geniunely curious to understand, why Prince would be taking part in all these different life-after-death "visitation" experiences such as you describe — even though they are 180° diametrically incongruous with Prince's own religious beliefs

The Beliefs and Practices of Jehovah’s Witness

Life after death?

"…Members believe that, “…at death, humans cease to exist. The dead know, feel, and experience absolutely nothing.” Death is compared to sleep, because there is no consciousness, activity, or awareness of one’s surroundings…"

…Do you actually figure that although Prince was a devout Jehovah's Witness when he was alive, now that he's dead he sacrilegiously goes against the beliefs his religion teaches its followers about death? Just for you?

By the way, I'm in a very happy mood as I type this — {T.G.I.F. and all that} — so don't mistake my genuine curiosity and incredulity, with rudeness.

I sincerely would like an honest answer to how people reconcile these kinds of fanciful flights of imagination, which are so contradictory to Prince's religous beliefs.

Please share your thoughts on that, anangellooksdown? Pretty please? Thanks in advance ¦: د )

I Warsh Myself With A Rag On A Stick!

I'm not anangellooksdown, but here's a thought. I, like most of the folks here, didn't particularly think that Prince was buying into any "definitive truth" when he moved into Witness circles, so the idea that his spirit might have found out something else was true after he died, and would then act accordingly, doesn't present me with any problems at all. What he thought while he was alive wouldn't really matter, would it?I don't believe in an afterlife, but should I wake up after death in heaven, hell, or something entirely different (like a rat, for instance), it would hardly make sense for me to keep saying "La, La, La, this ain't happening. I'm just rotting in the ground like I always said I would!" None of us know diddly, right now--I would certainly hope, though, that we'd be willing to admit whatever happened to be the case after we died (and, as I've already explained, if I'm right I won't be knowing anything then, either).

Now, as to the idea that a pleasant breeze might indicate survival of someone's spirit--that idea was actually expressed by Prince in song (unlike the Witness conception of what happens at death), since a breeze is in fact the sign given in Comeback of the loved one's continuing existence: "I cried when I realized that sweet wind was you." Does that mean he's now providing personal guidance and comfort from the other side to people he never knew in life? Probably not--but that sort of thinking is the sort of thinking he did engage in during his life--and probably not just during the years before he became a Witness. People's actual beliefs and felt experience of things often differ from their church's official positions--or at least include (at some level) ideas and concepts that are "in addition to" official dogma, even when not absolutely contradictory. I don't believe in an afterlife--that doesn't keep me from feeling like I'm communicating with my dead mother occasionally. And I'm betting that Prince still looked for signs the dead could communicate with us (and other new agey ideas that he considered and sang about in the mid-90s), and that he still felt a little Christmassy in December, and obviously (from "June") didn't completely give up commemorating birthdays.

Thanks for your answer, EddieC.

Don't take this the wrong way. But what would be the point in there even being a "heaven", if once you get there, your biggest priority is to return to Earth to participate in the most banal of activities? And do stuff for people you didn't know from Adam when you were alive?

I don't believe in life after death. But with all the hoopla religous people give it, I gotta think that dead people leaving heaven to visit strangers on Earth, would be like being the owner of a 100 bazillion dollar mansion in Beverley Hills, and preferring to leave the lap of luxury to go "slumming" with the smelly derilicts in the flop houses of Skid Row.

If heaven is so bad that nobody can stand to stay there and experience all its "glory", then maybe it's not such a "perfect" place after all. Huh?

Why do so many people deny themselves the pleasures or Earthly existence, with the goal of getting into "heaven" when they die? Then when they get there, they're all knocking each other over to high-tail it back down to Earth?

No offense. But the whole concept of dead people leaving what is suppose to be such a marvelous place, and return to the mortal realm to do nothing more than pull childish pranks — {and read fan site posts} — makes no frickin' sense at all!

Had a strange one yesterday.
Was sitting in a cafe near a couple of women and their children who were young enough to be still crawling around.
Suddenly one of them, and I kid you not, made exactly the sound of Prince's scream at the start of 'Gett Off'.
I laughed loudly and the mother looked at me and said 'That was Prince' having recognised it too.

She went on to joke 'He's still around'.

Very very strange.

A White Dove came to live at my house 3 months ago, He is still here

"…I was sitting outdoors in my screened-in porch near the ocean. I was in a quiet sad mood I guess. I had been stunned by how affected I was by Prince's passing. I would suddenly burst out sobbing during my day and just could not even feel connected with others as I went around town. It was like, "Doesnt anybody realize what has happened??"…"

"…I also had a lot going on in my personal life and was worried and scared…"

"…I was praying a lot as I always do and spending a lot of time with God about my personal situation…"

"…Anyway, I remember being on that porch…I was just sitting in a chair and sort of looking down deep in feelings and sad and real quiet. Then for some reason like I was called or something, I lifted my head up and was facing the ocean slightly. Just then, a breeze brushed my cheek.…"

"…It caught me by surprise at first because it was so different. It was the sweetest breeze I've ever felt. What was in it was so soft and warm and loving.…"

"…Then, even though the breeze had only come from the left, it continued, sweeping my entire face and head, gently lifting my hair a little and then covered my neck, arms, my shoulders. I knew immediately exactly what it was. I have never felt anything like that before or since.…"

"…I'll write about the 2nd one later. It was of an entirely different nature…"

"…I shouldn't be doing this either maybe 😐, but I found a website with scores of Prince songs on it (there have to be around 100 songs on this site) and I was scrolling down song after song on my iPhone for literally an hour during this drive, trying to find the song…"

"…It wasn't coming up and I couldn't remember if I had ever even found it on that site but I kept looking for it anyway. As I looked, I'd see another song I like too so I'd just play that instead, but in the back of my mind my goal was to find WWDCASlow before I got home…"

"…Finally about 10 minutes from my house I just sighed and gave up. I was just getting on the highway too and I didn't want to have a car crash, so I put the iPhone down on the seat next to me. Then wanting to hear something, I blindly reached over in the dark and just touched the iPhone screen, figuring whatever plays plays…"

"…And what do you think I heard? Yep. With the first beat I knew…"

"…🎶When we're dancing...close and slow...🎶…"

"…I couldn't believe it…"

"…I was bawling. And I heard the lyrics differently this time too…"

"…Prince is so generous, isn't he?…"

Hi PP,

Our spiritual beliefs and experiences change somewhat after we pass over.

To respond to some posts here, there's "blind faith" or fanciful imaginary wishes, and then there's having an actual spiritual experience that you know, feel and see (in or outside of us). One is belief; the other is the proof. Usually but not always these phenomena are inside of us. My first experience was an especially powerful one.

From what I've seen, Prince's religious beliefs expanded later to include more spirituality. They are not the same thing. There is some of each in the other but spirituality is much more powerful because it's not about following a creed where someone else tells you Who God is; it's about finding Him in the Truth yourself. It's way different than the rules of religion. There's no self-judgment but absolute honesty is required. Obviously this cannot be explained here. It's a process.

As for Prince's personal beliefs and experiences, only he could express those in the most accurate way. Some of us will feel some of what he's become, as I have.

All I know from my own spiritual work and actual experiences which include getting glimpses of what happens after we die, is that once we pass, we are with God. We actually know Him now. There's no more guessing. Everything's okay too. All pain is gone. We are in His arms. There's safety, security, belonging and utter & inexplicable love. Doubt and fear are all gone. There is total peace.

There's also understanding of things we didn't understand while here and forgiveness and love of others. Prince was so loving that he has comforted a lot of people as he's transitioned. He loves us all though.

So our beliefs and experiences about God change after we pass. Whatever we knew here...it grows.

A gust of wind? Really? That's your profound sign? neutral

I could think of more ways to help you than wind breezes and it would start with talking to a professional.

What puzzles me is, these dead people have all these other-worldly powers. What I don't get, is why don't they use their supernatural powers to cure cancer? Or end world hunger? Or overhaul the record industry?

Prince had his favorite charities. So why isn't Prince working in mysterious ways that benefit his favorite charities. Instead, it's more important for him police prince.org to make sure we're all singing Kum-Ba-Yah in unison? : دⱭ
