First Posthumous stamp issue

The Solomon Islands has released two sheetlets of stamps honouring Prince in September.

Sheet at $48 SD about $9 NZ or$7 USD

.

Where to start, as a philatelist (Stamp collector) these are crap, they are made by Stamperija, a Lithuanian based "agency" done by Algirdas Satas, that issue "Wallpaper stamps" or issues that have almost no relevance to the country of origin to appeal to thematic collectors mostly based in the first world. Very few or none of these will be used in the Solomons.

.

They prey on countries too poor and messed up to have post offices producing and making their own stamps. The other Stamperija countries are Mozambique, Sierra Leone, Guinea and Guinea Bissau amongst others, so you know real stable and rich countries. Caribbean Islands like Grenada and St kitts use IGPC a New York and Israeli Jewish based agency that produces all the Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe and Mickey Mouse type issues. There is also Philatelic collector which issues $100 stamps for places like Tonga and Samoa and again run by a New York Hasidic Jewish consortium whose role is to make money out of vulnerable and backwards places.

.

Stamperija is the very worst of the lot and is rock bottom, all their issues are drawn so to avoid paying copyright on the images, they also make illegal stamps for obscure Russian republics like Chuvashia and Baktorstan. These stamps are absolute dross and I will not be buying them.

.

They are awful and one shows Madonna, again they barely move beyond Purple Rain era Prince, but they are considered official stamps of the Solomon Islands.

.

I will not order them and do not know how to, but Stamperija probably has a website.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name
