I just don't understand this release and don't want it. The estate doesn't need the money and the fans don't need the music (except for 1 track). If whoever is behind it cared about Prince or his fans they would release a modest 9 or 10 tracks from the vault every couple of years.

I'm still curious if 4Ever will be available for streaming and where. Pretty sure ML will be Album Only and might not be available for streaming at all.

And what will they do with the 'previous unavailable' edits? They might be Album Only as well, if you compair it with Bowie's latest compilation: the 2 "new" edits on that album cannot be streamed.

It's a greatest hits set, it's the first Xmas season since he died. Of course there was going to be a compilation, and there's going to be one every few years just like every other legacy artist.

Whatever you're wanting them to release, it was never going to be now, so just have patience.

i dont know, if it's been cleared already, but i just got the copy and Moonbeam Levels is 1982 recording

I'm surprised the whole damn thing isn't up on Youtube yet ! Maybe Warners is watching like a hawk and taking it down instantly, lol

confused. prince even wanted a few of those 'vampire' style pics to be taken off the org
and yet warners claims that prince hand picked this cover? maybe he did, but it's weird,
especially given the rest of the packaging which is quite beautiful and seems like a bit of
an extension on The Hits/The Bsides.

Fair enough! It sounds good, but frankly the same as the version we already have. I think. I'll have some scans of the booklet in a bit.

Fine enough, but not remastered – if that's you're question. It's another hard copy I can add to my collection. Although from a sentimental perspective, the whole package is nice.

Surely it has been remastered otherwise the tracks would be at different volume levels, although there are some compilations in recent times that have had this issue (such as Scritti Politti's "Best Of"), and it would be crap if that's an issue with this release.

Every song is equally loud and clear. I'm no expert, but that's about all I can say. No disappointment with the files or the packaging. I'm just waiting on PR deluxe + the album of unheard(?) in 2017.

In that case, it's been properly mastered. Great!

maybe it was his oblique comment on Warner Bros being vampires to his legacy
