That's certainly the million-dollar question. I was about to say that if 4ever is brickwalled, then PR probably will be too but, thinking further, I'm not sure that's necessarily the case...

Prince's own releases for the last several years have been all horribly brickwalled, badly mastered and had significant distortion.

I expect Warners to do a far more professional mastering job that results in higher quality.

On 'higher quality' I meant greater dynamic range with headroom, less distortion – and generally a far more professional mastering job that ensures track volume levels are correct in relation to each other too, for example.

I was thinking Sexy MF edited could be the Sexy Mutha version. Gett Off, My Name Is Prince, and Peach will probably just be censored.

Does anyone know if there are sound samples posted from the 4ever CD set somewhere online (like on music retailer sites)? I've already pre-ordered the CD set from Amazon UK, just curious about how the sound is on the older tracks and also what version of Moonbeam Levels we will get.

I didn't realise earlier that 4Ever will be out on Tuesday in the US and on Friday in Europe/UK.

So Moonbeam Levels will be all over the internet even before "we" can buy it.

yeah, that is so incredibly rediculous in this day and age, to release an album first
in europe or america and then a few days later in the other parts of the world. it's
driving people to filesharing who might otherwise have bought the album if it had
been out in their own country.

but once you've got it on your computer, it's hardly worth it buying the official one
a couple of days after.

just another way the record industry shoots itself in the foot.

So we still have no idea what the "PR Deluxe" tracklist will be ??
