this is what i thought too. combined with the fact the Jay Z is a reformed drug dealer, it's more than enough to cause speculation. especially if there was a misunderstanding about the Tidal streaming deal

If Warners was involved it could be. So Tidal is really a Swedish company Aspiro and Aspiro has Warners on their webpage. All in cahoots someway. I never brought this up before,but I think Beyonce was offended by something Prince said about her in an interview. Prince said he wanted to teach her music. She could get offended

JayZ and Beyonce are part of the elite in Hollywood, so I don't think it's far-fetched at all that they could be involved in shady dealings. I just feel bad for Prince because he trusted JayZ. I think Prince trusted too many people who were not worthy.

Yes, it is a real question. One day the siblings are going to be running everything not Breamer.

Even if all of the music gets taken off of Tidal now the family can put it right back on when they take over. If you think Apple or Goggle are going to give up big bucks you are sadly mistaken.

Streaming services pay artist pennies and Prince openly complained about I-Tunes/Apple and the money they offered. He called an insult and a joke.

The family is not going to get 40 million but if Tidal is open to paying upfront money the family should take it into considereation in addtion, they do not have to cut out other plateforms completly. The could let Tidal have the music for exclusivly for 90 days and then be allowed to go to other platforms. Or maybe just do special projects with Tidal. Jay Z is going to start putting up T.V. shows and movies so Tyka and family should stay in touch for future business opportunities.

What do the big acts like The Rolling Stones and Paul McCartney do? What type of team do they have assembled around them, some of those persons for decades? The Stones have a YouTube channel. Why can't Prince have one? Yes, he didn't want people making money off of him, but one hand washes the other. The music industry cannot be battled on one's own. It can't be handled hit-and-miss, even by a rock icon. The Beatles waited a long time to make streaming and other arrangements. You think they had Joe Schmo from down the street advising them? I read last night that Sheila E. has washed her hands of the whole Prince estate, because she is so concerned and unhappy about how things are being handled. I feel like asking when are the grown-ups going to show up and right this ship?

Bands like the Rolling Stones and Paul have more money. They charge $300.00 a ticket for their shows and have been around longer and sold more music then Prince.

Remember Prince did 21 shows in LA were the tickets were 25.00 a piece. I bet when the Rolling Stones went to YOUTUBE that got the exact amount of money they wanted.

Prince said time and time again that he was not getting any money off of Youtube and the other plateforms for streaming were offering him pennies.

If you wanted to see videos you could simple subscribe to TIDAL. He has videos on Tidal and music you can buy. He got the money he wanted.

Do you think I like hearing Beatles songs in commercials on TV? No. But the Jackson estate sold the catalogue and that is what it is. Let me clarify: a team should be in place to oversee EVERYTHING, from PP merchandising to music streaming. One team, but a team with experience. IMO he blew his chance to be the biggest star ever (maybe behind the Beatles) when he started his 90s crusade against WB. He may have had fans and sold-out concerts for years after that, but he essentially lost new generations of fans and therefore money fighting over a contract he signed. There is a saying: "Do you want to be right, or do you want to be smart?" Sometimes you compromise the "right" in order to be "smart." He didn't and it cost him.
