Prince's Remains Held in Custom Paisley Park Urn The doors of Prince's Paisley Park opened on Thurs. (Oct. 6) and reeled in thousands of fans who wanted to pay tribute to the legendary singer. According to reports, upon touring the venue, Prince supporters were in for a surprise when it was revealed that the Purple Rain singer's remains were being kept within the studio -- the same place where the singer had passed away.
Prince's remains are being held in an urn designed by his sister and nephew, who teamed up with Foreverence, a company that has created custom burial urns for such recently deceased rock legends as Scott Weiland and Lemmy Kilmister. According to a press release, Foreverence states: "Tyka Nelson handâselected seven iridescent crystals - representing the artist's favorite number - to be part of the urn design and placed the final jewel in the piece herself." The urn is designed to resemble a miniature version of Paisley Park, and features signature Prince details, like his purple Yamaha piano and white doves.
