Update from Londell. Paisley Park is in your heart

This is sad. I understand where they are coming from- distractions are a hazard for people on the road- but it doesn't make it any more unfair. Lots of fans from all over the world paid their respects there. Is there not a side of Paisley that has the fence where the road isn't directly facing? Fans could pay respects there possibly. And yeah- when it all starts to pile up it probably should be taken down and archived because like another orger said, it does look messy after a while and it does create shelter for critters.
The thing about the jars though- what the actual fuck? Who does that?! Those can't have been left by fans, thats just some sick idea of a joke.

Some of y'all dun lost yer dam minds. Do you really think Prince would want people hanging stuff all over Paisley Park's fence and pissing off his neighbors?

I think the best memorial we can give Prince is if they were to do food drives or coat drives. Prince used to do that at his concerts. If fans/fams want to pay their respects they can take food or clothing to a designate place at Paisley Park, and then what is gathered can be donated to local charities around Minne. It would be a way to honor Prince and a way to give back to the city of Minne for sheltering our man for all those years.

I think everyone knows that the tributes on the fence can't go on forever, but the tribute weekend is just three weeks away. Still, I guess they are trying to prepare for the start of tours. This is still all so unbelievable. Even though it has been five months now, I think everyone is still just reeling. Whatever the case, I hope they scrap the plans for a tall wall around PP. I saw some pictures of some really nice tall wrought iron fences. I think that would perhaps be a nice alternative. Also, like many have said here, there needs to be somewhere that people can leave mementos and tributes.

Yes it is September 29, I knew Minnesota was cold, but its not Greenland or Arctic Alaska. Surely the first snow is over a month off. September 29 is barely fall, let alone winter. . I was actually more worried after his passing,as late April can have a rogue snowfall or cold snap, but the weather seemed to hold and a site I fund showed it was about 55 when he died and warmed up to the 70s by the end of April. Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

But as far as memorials go there has to be a better way than hanging things on a fence. Maybe have a dedicated spot at PP where people can pay their respects. Paisley Park is in your heart

I think people forget that that Paisley Park is still private property. All of us are still grieving over the passing of Prince, but if folks really love Prince, they would be respectful of the complex the way Prince had it before he died and also of the administrators of Prince's estate that is trying to keep Paisley Park profitable to keep the studios, soundstage, video production and rehearsal space operational. Jimi Hendrix fans don't leave mementos of remembrance no matter how heartfelt in front of Electric Ladyland Studios. I just hope it doesn't become a situation where some fans become so dug in they leave some stuff on the fence and the city of Chanhassen has to take action by making it impossible for fans to access Paisley Park at all. 3121 #1 THIS YEAR

It's time. Paisley Park itself is now the memorial.

The video took me through a journey of the last few months and was touching, but I understand they have to try and keep the fence clean now as the weather turns to winter.
Also - can you please correct the spelling from Paisly to Paisley ????????? Thank you Prince for every note you left behind đź’ś

I agree, the building is the Memorial not the fence. Thank you Prince for every note you left behind đź’ś

This is what I think too, enough time has gone by and Prince would hate it - looking all messy with the winter coming - its time to let it look Pristine as it always has. Thank you Prince for every note you left behind đź’ś

But maybe, instead of people bringing things (which results in a lot of "stuff" that someone else will ultimately have to dispose or take care of), they could have candles to light or a book to sign. benni said: I think the best memorial we can give Prince is if they were to do food drives or coat drives. . I just don't agree with the "wall" around PP. I don't think that is something Prince would want. . I do agree that they should have some type of "memorial" somewhere in Chanhassen so that people can pay their respects. But then again, that will be a major undertaking.

this is just so stupid. People have no idea what they are talking about. There is not a solid wall going up around Paisley. PERIOD. Watch the council meeting, you can view them online if you aren't in Minnesota. It will clear up many of the misconceptions.

Not really beyond, some idiots pissing on the fence, but it may refer to a popular creepy pasta. . Haunted castle rides at Disneyland and Disneyworld Orlando reported a problem with people sprinkling ashes of dead people, who were fans of Disney and apparently some of the ashes contained real ghosts. The attraction had to be closed a few years ago to remove the ashes. . Maybe some deranged fan could have someone scatter their ashes inside Paisley park and then we have demented fans haunting Prince's essence there. Not the nice sensitive fans, but probably the obese heffas who were always trying to hump him (Screams of "Oh hell naw!" and "Exxcuuuuusseee me gurllll!" have been heard near the soundboards) . Then you may have a pervert or two, who decides to masturbate in there and leave their cream all over the mixing boards. Looks like if fans don't put stuff on the fence, then the wall won't go up.
Also looks like everything that was on the fence will be digitized for an online wall.
