Glad someone said that. People are too deferential. Bad is a really childish song and you're right - if anyone else had done it it would be considered on a par with Yazz's "Stand Up For Your Love Rights". “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

Would love to hear that. Surprised nobody leaked it after MJ's death, since Prince send it to him.

Would love to hear that. And that was Prince at his peak. Badass and cocky because he and everyone knew it. That story is funny as hell. You know we have to encourage Susannah to write her own book from her perspective. The stories from her perspective in his life and that exact place and point have got to be amazing.

Um - no! You've gone from you're initial statement that Prince "did a re-mix with the Bob George beat mixed in" to now saying it is a beat "based-on" Bob Geroge (which it still isn't!).
The BG beat has a single kick and triple kick (quaver then semi-quaver) in the first bar, and bar 2 has a triple kick (semi-quaver then quaver) followed by a single kick.
It's not the Bob George beat, which is what you said, and a standard 8-beat cannot be claimed to be "based on" the BG beat either.
And now you're reaching even further by claiming that Madonna's "Music" is "biting the BG beat" - that's ludicrous. Again, they are not vaguely similar either in rhythm, arrangement, or production. Frankly, you're making tenuous links and assumptions in place of any evidence.
That might be Prince's guitar on the dub mix and the use of the skinny-mf sample certainly alludes to his involvement. I'm not contesting that. But you can't say a beat is used or sampled, when it isn't, then change it to "based-on", when it still isn't, as it severly lessens your arguments. ...we have only scratched the surface of what the mind can do...

And your histrionics about evelse is wrong too.

And your histrionics about evelse is wrong too. I've listened to the 12" club/dance mix and dub mix - which one are you referring to? Neither of the 2 mixes I've listened to are remotely like the beat from Bob George. Maybe you need to reacquainte yourself with the original track? Your response is nowhere near adequate. Prove I'm wrong - or rather, as I've demonstrated why you're mistaken, perhaps you should attempt to prove how you're right. ...we have only scratched the surface of what the mind can do...

In other words, you have NOTHING to say or back-up your claims. I'm a music producer and travel the world playing my music. A multi-instrumentalist with over 30 years playing drums - so nothing wrong with my hearing or my ability to analyse music. Sorry to have to keep negating your ramblings with facts. ...we have only scratched the surface of what the mind can do...

Aged 8/9, it was my absolute favourite song. Became a Michael Jackson fan from there.
