It';s not a commonly-shared view, but I think 'Partyman' also refers to Babylon. I Loved when he said that just like when he signed autographs LOVE GOD. I think he meant we should hope to see another day,however well he was Suppose to have a follow-up movie to Purple Rain called THE DAWN.

I checked ATWIAD and Parade...NADA! But, mysteriously, it reappears on Graffiti Bridge... So, doesn't look like a movie project...it's deeper than that. I just wanna know, because if it involves the end of civilization, or something... You know, people say that Prince struck a deal with the devil to be so talented... The boy freaks me out sometimes...

September 1986 - Immediately after the 1-month Parade tour, Prince begins a new film project, The Dawn. Planned as a musicial. The Dawn concerned 2 rival bands, 1 of them called the Coco Boys. Prince spent 3 days n September 1986 recording 2 songs that he had specifically for The Dawn in his home studio. "Crucial" & "Coco Boys" which was developed from an instrumental piece recorded during the Paris soundcheck on the Parade tour. He also cut a 3rd track for The Dawn called "When The Dawn Of The Morning Comes". Prince never saw The Dawn project through to its completion, although the scenario of 2 rival bands was incorporated into Graffiti Bridge a year later in 1987. The Dawn was still mentioned as a possible film in 1989, but it remains unfinished 2 this day. Like The Hard Life, but that's another story...
