The New Watcher was always mysterious and seemed to be...in the know. I totally think that Prince was on the org under a pseudonym. David Bowie was. He was well known for posting and responding to fans on his website under the name of "Sailor." If Bowie did it, why not Prince?

What happened with Prince & Sheila ? I remember hearing something around the 20ten tour that Prince and Sheila had some type of fight and that she was sent packing and things are still on the out's with the 2 of them. What exactly happened that would end this lifetime friendship between the 2 of them? Whatever the issue was I hope these 2 get back 2gether. I feel Sheila is the voice of reason and that Prince needs 2 hear about his Purple Paisley legacy that hangs in limbo. (Revolution reunion , Time / Family name ownership , Remaster box sets and the vault) Prince needs a Sheila 2 look out for him and all his friends from back in the day. Prince needs 2 face facts that people aren't getting any younger and it would be a shame not 2 reconnect with his "true" friends.

Sheila performed at all of the W2A concerts in the U.S.that I attended except the last two in LA. They especially seemed to have a good time together in Oakland. However, Sheila and her family were supposed to open for Prince in San Jose but were bumped for Larry Graham. After that, she didn't perform with Prince at any other concerts. That MAY have been part of the reason she hasn't toured with him since then.

Thank you XxAXx, you seem to come close with some of these posts. The mods should pull the genuine threads together and make them a special reading section--they are as insightful as those 50 pages.

This is a start.

They begin to describe the relationship of an icon to "fans". What does it mean and how is it helpful or hurtful. What are the best ways for celebrities to engage their admirers without being consumed by them? It is also surprising that when he was alive, people still felt comfortable saying hurtful things about him. Feedback, he wanted. Genuine criticism he could hear, but the ranting...how sad some of his fans ...well. He's gone. Yet this thread brought him back, just a little.

That's why the moderators need to pull these together and make them available. We hear him in his music but these distanced yet intimate comments are another view.

Give him this voice once more.

It's 5 PM, Sunday, in Minneapolis (on Prince's birthday no less) and people are in town left wondering if a show is going to happen. . Prince knows some fans might travel in at the hint of something going down at Paisley. . Prince's tweet from June 3rd about a weekend at Paisley remains up. Bottom-line, Prince could have tweeted out that nothing is happening, or confirm that it is. Shows a lack of consideration.

I just took a look at the Prince3EG twitter page and unless something was deleted no where does it state there was an event scheduled for this weekend. You assumed the 140 characters of the tweet in question to mean that. To me it reads as a teaser, like there will be more events to come so get your shhh together and be ready. "Prince knows some fans might travel" Its not Prince's responsibility to keep up with what his fans are doing, are you serious? Some fans seem to think the man life revolves around them when its clearly the other way around. Do you expect Prince to drop whatever he's doing just because folks he doesnt even know are in his town? Unless there is a flyer or official announcement why complain without confirmation and get upset over your own expectation? Save as much as you can and make the trip once something is CONFIRMED. Some notice maybe last minute but that's the thrill of it all, you should know the drill by now. Lack of consideration? thats exactly what you are showing. Bottom-line: just be appreciative & thankful Prince still puts on events at Paisley Park. Well, isn't this fun. I forgot that the org tends to go this way. Prince and his people could easily announce that nothing is happening. I know the drill, having been to Paisley several times. Furthermore, fool, I am not selfish and despise entitlement. If you notice I was trying to advocate for a better situation, but according to you, it's FUN to wait in line for hours or drop a couple thousand bucks in order to see Prince play..... or not play. I should save up for a show?? I would gladly travel to a show if I could get some freaking notice. I'm showing lack of consideration?!?

Apparently, as you suggest, Prince can sit back and chill watching tv perhaps, while some fans are in mpls hoping to see a show which they clearly were lead to believe something would be happening this weekend. Prince's staff could easily confirm yes or no about what is happening this weekend.

The tweet didn't say "this weekend". Prince holds events at Paisley Park frequently but not always every weekend. The tweet suggests that there will concerts at Paisley park in the immediate future. Anybody that took that tweet to mean, Prince was doing Paisley Park After Dark should have been aware that he may or may not do it. 3121 #1 THIS YEAR

in one of his podcasts Dr Funkenberry said that Prince was an orger and had multiple accounts. Dr Funkenberry had an NPGMC account under the name Jseven. i totally remember Jseven
