Prince’s Favorite Foods: A Taste Experience

I agree, it certainly seems a bit of an odd thing to do. |

I think it is a good idea. People are going to be there and need to eat and it will hopefully expose many of them to new foods and give an insight into his preferences/tastes they wouldn't have otherwise had. It is better than going out to McD's and supporting Corporations. I would hope everything is Vegan and sorced (hence supporting) the local community. It would be nice if they would offer somethng simple, nutritious and cheap too. For example, simple beans and rice for people who come with their families and can't afford that option.

Then have a vegetarian or vegan menu. This seems an exploit, it's weird and wrong. Will they be selling identical clothes to his next?

It is an odd decision, and seems a little invasive, exploiative, even creepy. But, saying that, if I went to Paisley Park I know my curiosity would wind out and I'd try it. Hundalasiliah!

There's a thread dedicated to his snug fitting pants, threads about every aspect of his life. I think it's fine, people want to know what he ate..his chef spoke to the press about foods he liked and his sweet tooth. Lets not torget the Dorito threads. It's not a big deal. He wasn't shy about talking about his vegetarianism. [Edited 9/17/16 15:35pm] Baby, you're a star.

Hmm...I guess I don't find it creepy. I'd love to get a taste of dishes or foods he personally loved. And if they're coming from a chef who personally cooked for him all the better. It's not like they're going to be serving it to you with the same plates and silverware he used to eat it on. I'd much rather pay for something like this than a Prince branded keychain or pen or whatever other stuff you'd find in gift shops at these places. I'm hoping they don't go overboard on that kind of stuff. Paisley Park is in your heart

I had to giggle at this one. Truth be told all of this would be me, I'd frown, shake my head, shrug my shoulders then try it.

As I say, this supports the community locally. I don't understand the belief that it is "creepy" or invasive. Would people rather they sell junk food or make money selling tacky knick-knack plastic toxic crap made in China? People have to eat. This, is providing a healthy educational/insightful option. I personally wish it was all vegan to be 100% ethical and cruelty free but it seems you can call ahead and request that. I am sure it is better than any other eating option nearby (especially fast food which is toxic and does not support the local community). With this choice you are supporting PP because until it gets up, running, & at least breaking-even, people should be aware it might fail. It would be nice if people would get behind supporting Prince's legacy especially in sound community oriented ethical business ventures like this one.

It's sad to me, seems like they are making his passing all about money.

How's it creepy to have foods he ate available for tasting, again? To be a bit blunt, I think zone fans are being a little too overzealous here. It's just a tasting menu, it's not like they're inviting you to do something grozz, like... I dunno, think of something grozz. And if I recall correctly, Glam Slam had clothing that was identical to stuff Prince wore for sale. Prohibitively expensive, but it was available before. It's no different now that he's no longer with us. Come on, now, this is not a copyright infringement, and Prince didn't own those dizhez. Many, many non-famous people ate those types of dizhez, and still do. I imagine myself inside your bedroom; oh, I imagine myself in your sky.

In looking around the PP website a bit, I noticed that there could be some improvement regarding wording. Instead of starting the t-shirt section off by saying, "We're sorry, but..." (I think it then says, But these are only reserved for people who buy tickets - or something like that), it should be started off with something inviting and warm and positive. That's just one example. I was waiting for potential kinks to be ironed out and know they're hiring people but everything Prince did was so gracious. Just want to mention. I know they're doing the best they can but we don't need to be desperate. Trust that people will come.

Hopefully, they will offer this at the official memorial tribute for all of you that will be attending. It's bound to be delicious!

That t-shirt looks awful. What I'd probably pay for is the top he was wearing for the P&M Tour - the one with the moons.
As for the site/page - it's rather amateurish.

Let's hope they also sell those delicious pancakes that he loved to eat and frequently served to guests at Paisley Park!

It might be their way of promoting veganism(if that's a word!)which I'm sure P would advocate. Also, it seems they seem to be trying to find ways of keeping his loyal staff on the payroll. I'd definitely give it a try if I visited. There's always a rainbow 🌈 , at the end of every rain ☔️

I don't know why they would choose 'that' to promote the food they will be offering. This is more like a headline for a artiicle, not a concession stand.
Besides from that, if the sampling only offers vegetarian option(containing dairy, honey)...then i might have to pass on that and eat at a local vegan place before going to PP

Before they establish a full-service restaurant on site, they may want to see how much they sell in terms of a sampling offering.

Hopefully, it will be very successful and they choose to expand it to include catering and delivery service. The lucky fans/fams nearby are bound to be very happy!

Agreed!

I think its odd to offer it as its own 'experience' persay. I wouldn't find it as creepy if there was a little section on the menu called 'Prince's favourites' or 'Prince loved these!'. Not as odd.

It's the same thing they do at Graceland for Elvis fans. The same people have Paisley Park now right?
