We will never know if he did or not. I don't believe any of the stories coming out now and that includes the ones from alleged ex lovers as once someone is gone you can basically say whatever you want. However, I would be shocked if he didn't. Didn't he have that French porn actress (Jacki something) as his "companion" during his one European tour? Sounded like essentially the same thing. Besides, the way he interacted with most women regardless of what their title was (muse, protog., model, wife) the power dynamic was essentially the same.
I never believed he was an out and out whoremonger like say the Beatles or most other Rock Stars or that he raped like many others who should have been in jail. Also, i've never seen any other Celebrity (let alone Rock Star) acknowledge regret/contemplation (and subsequent change of behavior) the way he did regarding actions in his yonger years. (Although Little RIchard did something similar but he did not have the fame/money that P. did). I will give P. a lot of credit for that because most ppl with that amount of money/fame do not think twice about anything especailly people they have damaged. I think much of the JW immersion was a way he punished himself or tried to put things in perspective. He evolved. It is a pity that the females he was involved with haven't.

Exactly! That's what I loved most about him in his latter years. He let his beliefs and conscience be his guide. And he TRIED to live a cleaner life than he did in the past because of it. His convictions impressed me.

He wrote at least 2 songs about hookers (Cindy C. and 319), so maybe he did or maybe it was just a fantasy. At this point, who really cares.

Most hookers keep their mouths shut too. Just think about how many celebrities / politicians have slept with hookers vs. how many have been made public. A lot of them may no longer be in the "business" and don't want the world to know their former profession.

Personal evolution/growth is not something that happens overnight despite it being portrayed that way in media. I believe he was suffering and in pain for many years because he was a sensitive intelligent person. He was stunted emotionally having become so suckcessful so young & with that came fame, money & other forms of corruption that were/are difficult for any person to deal with, let alone someone so young. He also didn't come from a family background that offered much emotional support or direction and was disfunctional as most families are in the modern capitalist world. I think he could see early on how shallow and fake it all was. Who can't if they have half a brain? Even the belief that "god punished him" is sad & reductive. In the real world, horrible things happen to the best people all the time. God has nothing to do with it, just as his self-percieved "sins" didn't. JW just happened to be a method that he used to effect change. If it wasn't that particular group, I believe it would have been something else similar that he would have used as a tool to help him change. That little no talent Justin Bieber was caught coming out of a brothel a couple of years ago. Do you think in his lifetime, he will ever feel bad about economically/sexually exploiting women? Highly doubtful. It was interesting to hear an old (Dutch?)interview with P. after his 1st or 2nd LP where he said he would probably just make another Lp or two then quit and go onto something else as he had many different interests. I believe he got trapped by his own talents/suckcess and the money making machne of supporting others. P. questioning himself and changing his personal actions speaks to his character/background as a person, and for that I will give him credit & god has nothing to do with that.
