ok, so the pa version is all that is circulating atm?

what this overall 'vibe' reminds me of, is "if i love u 2nite" (due to the bass), crossed
with "fuchsia light" (due to the synths/tempo) and indeed "wouldn't u love 2 love me"

this is making my mouth water for possible future vault releases drool

Sounds a lot like Feel U Up and better than anything Prince released the last 25 years or so.

Yep this THANG is ROCKIN! Bassline has the same riff from Feel U Up. Apparently Questlove has the keys to The Vault.

No, that gif was in reaction to the typical "Prince's best work since the 80s" bullshit.

If Questlove wants to give me the full version of this, I have something he wants in return. If you're reading, Quest, holla atcha boy cool

Great track. I can see why Joni turned it down though haha. Doesn't match her style at all. It's brilliant though.

Not bullshit.... Prince's WB material was da shit. P's management team screwed his head on crooked about contracts and licensing, causing him to respond by going independent. He couldn't take the WB material with him leagally, so he had to break from his own musical thought process and start anew. It just wan't the same. Prince knew he was backed in a corner over it, but pride was a mothafunka, so he did some good work, but... it wasn't as good as the outtakes he had laying 'round the crib that he couldn't use without having a 'come to jesus' moment with WB. So nah... what I said wasn't bullshit.

I only got the PA system version. I don't feel the Parade vibe at all. At first listen it sounds like something from 1988-1989. I might need a cleaner version of this to really hear the detailed recording. It's absolutely funky to the max though! cool

Oh, you're right. I guess you're the one person who is mitigated to state their personal tastes as fact.

Off to listen to The Love We Make and Dark now.
