And here...the still, quiet, gentle voice of reason bestills the distraught soul. Thank you...much needed. Welcome home class. We've come a long way. - RIP Prince

We appreciate your reiterating this personal exchange that you shared timely, earlier.
There is a clarity and wisdom there that not all were (nor have been) willing to hear, for their own selfish, inexplicable reasons.
This matter of certain fanatics rejecting what he was So clearly showing and telling us for many, many months (years, actually) is its own strain of deliusional fanaticism that, unfortunately, we do no have enough psychiatrists among us to properly address.

It wasn't a bad premonition.
He was showing us vital system failure over a period of time, that is very obvious to skilled medical professionals as well as lay-persons.
He showed us and told us most explicitly and you received this, even if you didn't want to.

He was putting on a show, on purpose, as always. Control.
Same as the manner of death. Control.

He didn't exactly seek out the best medical guidance, through the most credible channels, throughout the duration of his life from what has been revealved thus far.
Clearly.
Similar to all other professional arenas where folks with degrees and skills were capable of much better service to him that what he got.

Yes I understand what you're saying and I agree. I know some of the recent pictures have shown he had lost some weight, wasn't as toned, had aged, etc. We have no idea why he lost weight. It could of been from any number of reasons, and it's okay to say well I 'think' maybe this could of been the reason, but to say your speculation is the THE reason and you know it, well that is just false. You did not know the man; you knew his music. You knew what he WANTED you to see and that is it.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but it is only that....your opinion. It is not fair to blame his people who were around him. You cannot force someone to do something. You can try to but it won't work. I know. Believe me, I know. You don't know what those close to him tried or didn't try.
I actually agree with OP post. It's true.
You do not know Prince. You know what he wanted you to know which is his image. There's a big difference between a man and an image. "Don't worry about what I'm doing. Worry about why you are worried about what I am doing."

People are allowed to speculate all they want. That's been going on long before he passed. Elements of his death, like his life, will remain a mystery. Of course, some people want to feel like they're a part of his world, because his music provided that window. People say a lot of things when they're grieving. Some of those things aren't even believable to the individual saying them as time passes. If that's what they choose to believe in their hearts, then so be it. Life is hard. Death is hard. In some instances, Prince's death was such a visceral blow to some fans, because it might've a represented direct reflection of personal turmoil they have experienced in their lives. Banging on a keyboard may be their only "healthy" release of grief and anger without the embarrassment of explaining it to strangers, co-workers and/or friends/relatives. More perspective will come in time. Keep in mind, it's only been several months. There's really no expiration date for feelings like this. When it happens, it happens. [Edited 9/4/16 6:19am]

I appreciate it. I found it baffling how people were trying to argue Prince had no clue what was coming. As if he just passed out on the plane, completely no idea he had a worsening serious health condition. If it turns out my dad's hunch was wrong, and Prince really had no clue, but he did die for other reasons? That seems pretty unlikely to me.

" bearing in mind he had residences in different countries, I think it would have been easy for him to get a legit source of painkillers from somewhere if he had tried."
Anyone who is sufficiently motivated and has the money can get whatever drug they want.
