Mine is a bit of an obscure one - S.S.T. Let me see if I can defend it…
. It very much drips of the "High" era, which I could mostly take or leave. However, I just love his voice on this track, and the coda at the end that kind of leads into the instrumental Brand New Orleans is nice. I never overplayed it when it was first released after Katrina hit New Orleans, and I rediscovered it while listening to the recent bootleg compilation "Same Page Different Book." Now, I'm hooked, have listened to it multiple times daily for three weeks. |

If It'll Make U Happy. When the harmony vocals hit on the chorus, "Really love you baby"....I just die. So great. I hope the entire song eventually gets released. |

The Question of U. I especially love the ballet that was choreographed to this song. Another one that is in my head a lot is Dionne. Vous etes tres belle, mama, girls and boys 💋 |

Blue Light
Was 'Blue Light' a hit in the UK, do you know? Or has it been covered in years gone by and become a hit? Or did it feature in a TV advert?
.
I'm just wondering why the song is so familiar to me, given that I didn't own a copy of the 'Love Symbol' album until very, very recently! |

Good call. I really like the Plantlife Remix, which I've been playing a lot lately.

I have been obsessed for months with Joy in Repetition - the live version he did at the Celebrations in 2002 and Something in the Water - the version he did in Manchester 2014. During that performance, there is a moment where P is so lifted by the audience and their chanting that he's getting so into it that he has to kind of stop himself from going overboard (bless him) . Love when P goes in the deep end! I can watch that performance for dayz....... Come now, isn't life a little better with a pair of good shoes? - Prince 1985 |

I am completely obsessed with The Question of U/The One/Falling medley on you tube. The artistry in the way he plays the guitar, his absolute confidence, his swagger, his raw emotion when he sings. It melts me. I've been listening to it over and over for months.
I had to go look it up,as Question of U and The One are among my favorites, and man, I can see why you like it so much. Absolutely brilliant. If anyone of the ignorant masses expressed doubt about P's guitar prowess, I will refer them to this video.

ME TOO....
and the Lyrics are so profoundly inspiring to me...
to INTROSPECT
So what is the answer 2 the question of u What do I look 4, what shall I do? Which way do I turn when I'm feeling lost? If I sell my soul, now what will it cost? Must I become naked? No image at all? Shall I remain upright? Or get down and crawl?
All of the questions in my life will be answered When I decide which road 2 choose What is the answer 2 the question of u?

I get mesmerized when looking at him perform that song, in that moment in time, it all just works.
I used to be obsessed with that too. I finally moved on to another, but I will still put that one on too sometimes. "Don't worry about what I'm doing. Worry about why you are worried about what I am doing." |

I'd already been buying Prince albums/singles for almost 10 years by the time the Love Symbol album came out, and I can say for sure it wasn't a hit here in the U.K for Prince or anyone else, nor did I ever hear it played anywhere other than on my turntable (yes, it was THAT long ago, lol) .... and I always had an ear to the ground listening out for Prince airplay of any kind.

New Position!
Me too. If I had a £1 coin for every time I've burst in to song with New Position over the past thirty years, I'd have..... well I'd have lots of £1 coins that's for sure.
Add on Vicki Waiting, The Ballad of Dorothy Parker, Erotic City and Forever in My Life to name but four, and I'd be a wealthy man now.
