Hey guys,

I am just getting home from the best night. The Academy hosted a screening of Purple Rain. They had a guest panel before the film with Jill Jones, Albert Magnoli, producer Robert Cavallo, costume designer Marie France and The one and ONLY Jerome Benton. And in her first public appearance since Prince passed, Apollonia!

It was fantasic. To hear each of them talk about how Purple Rain came to be, to listen to them bicker about the facts, to see who aren't exactly fans of one another.. all of it was facinating. Then watching the movie while singing along like the interactive verion of Rocky Horror Picture Show.

This was my first outting like this since Prince passed, and it could not have been more perfect. Prince has the best fans. We laughed together, cried together, and celebrated a man that means so much to all of our lives.

You guys are the best!

Thanks for sharing the pics. It is great seeing them all together; Purple Rain deserves it all the recognition.

Such a shame - it looks like it was fascinating - but even on 100, I can barely hear it!

Albert Magnoli is the guy who selected the 9 songs to be included on the PR album from a hundred or so, and he directed the movie.

I mean, granted it was probably a split second that someone caught that pic, but it certainly sums up her disposition lately.

I know that aging is just a fact of life, but in all honesty, I hate it! ......I hate how aging changes your looks, it just makes me feel depressed seeing myself and those from my generation getting older.
