Your Ideal Hardcover Prince book
I've been looking at some pretty cool hardback books on entertainers(alive and deceased) I'm assuming some will come of Prince in the future. I just bought one called Streets of Fire Bruce Springsteen in Photographs and Lyrics 1977-1979
most of the lyrics and photographs are revolved around his The Promise album and the official album Darkness on the Edge of Town
this is pretty cool too, it is a booklet 2 discs lyrics lots of photos and history behind the recording session
I would love to see something like this 4 Prince for each album/year/era I think the closest Prince came to doing something like this was the 21Nights book, but without (Planet Earth sessions outtakes)

I would steer clear of the style of 21 Nights . . . overly Photoshopped, overly "staged", minimal background story, etc.

Yes I agree, more background to the making of the music, some of the tour, the concept etc
I was just looking at my 21Nights too too glitzy some cool photos though

I would want a book where he talks about the inspiration for all of his songs and what they personally meant to him. "You always get the dream that you deserve, from what you value the most" -Prince 2013

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.
