I just wanted to share a little thing that happened this morning - not sure it's worth starting a new thread, so apologies to anyone who doesn't see the point!
I've been recently babysitting my nephew and my niece in the mornings, while their parents are at work and I enjoy a long, well-deserved holiday. They are lovey kids who don't speak any English. And they like to sleep. They really do. In the last few days I've been waking them up with music. Let's Go Crazy has been a bit of a hit, as it makes them jump out of the bed and dance!
Yesterday, during the day, my nephew asked me 'Uncle D, can we listen to some of that weird rock music that you like?', which made me smile. But the cute little thing happened this morning.
As we were having breakfast, my four-year-old niece asked for some music, so I played Pink Cashmere (for no special reason). After a bit, she said 'It's a whole family singing'. I thought it was adorable, and It made me think of the versatility of Prince's voice and how masterfully he used harmonies.
Anyway, I thought I'd share. 😀
