I know people are a bit suspicious of Meron but can't imagine what it's been like for her having been there that day.

Julia Ramadan's tribute was beautiful too:

Prince.

You were all that contrasts in pure harmony.

Thank you for teaching me that my power is limitless. That boundaries aren't real.

You held a mirror to me and showed me a Queen. You unlocked a strength I didn't know. A depth I didn't know. A capacity for love I didn't know. Through years with you, I found the woman that you saw in me from day one.

You threw me in the deep end daily, and beamed with pride when I stayed afloat.

You schooled me in almost everything, but never condescendingly. Your standards and expectations were as high as the heavens, and all who knew you are greater for it. You always pushed me and always celebrated me on the other side. For every tear there was a hug.

You taught me never to settle. Never to take no for an answer. Your work ethic was awe-inspiring. You never got comfortable. You were constantly evolving, excelling, improving and perfecting. Mediocrity didn't exist in your world.

You generously shared all that you knew with those around you. I live every day through the lessons I learned with you.

You were my mentor but also my baby. I'd fearlessly stand up to any Goliath to protect you. For you taught me I was David.

We laughed SO much. Sometimes at your expense. Sometimes at mine. You didn't take yourself too seriously and I loved that about you. I think you did too.

We made the seemingly impossible real. Spent some nights (read: mornings) dancing, and others sitting in the kitchen talking about God. You made me omelets that I didn't ask for. I made you take your vitamins.

We taught each other the ways of our hearts and found a space between that was ours. I long to go back there, but I know you are free. We are free.

You're taking care of me even now, through the amazing family you brought me.

My heart is in a million pieces, but I can rejoice in my grief knowing that you are Home.

Thank you. I love you.

Both are beautiful but this one really got to me.
He's not here, but still very near

From the first moment I saw U
I knew U were The One

So, God's PLAN was for Prince to die of an overdose? Surely he would have been less cruel if he wanted Prince to himself? Fucking Nonsense

I don't think she was lazy, ignorant or garbage. She was probably in awe because she got a once in a lifetime opportunity to work with/for the man himself. Poor thing will always be a mess for not being able to do anything but say "Ok" and "Yes Prince". I seriously don't think she knew how to intervene.

I will get hate for this but so be it. I think Prince hired incompetent folks who were just pretty faces. If she cared for Prince so much why did she leave him alone in a health crisis? And dont gimme that boss shit...Im not buying it. Truth is none of these muthafuckas stayed with Prince. He died alone in a fucking elevator. So whether it was posted in April or August Im not buying it.

So easy when one is on the outside looking in without all of the facts and hindsight being 20/20 to say what someone should have done. When someone goes after the people who worked for Prince they're essentially going after the man himself and his judgement...he hired these people after all.

Prince was my hero, but he was no saint. He did alot of suspect things in his life as Im sure most of us have made mistakes. But yeah the people who were around him had something to gain and were not truly his friends.

20/20?...I've had my concerns about his inner circle 4 a few yrs now. I saw some unprofessional stuff go down that I'd never seen b4 (Serpan anyone? Cringe.) And I LOVE P, but it crossed my mind that green kids are far less likely 2 give u a reality check than a professional adult.

Yeah he was, I was shocked by how bitchy they were with him tho, very unprofessional & immature.

He was very enthusiastic shall we say
wink & they didn't appreciate it. They had Dingleberry etc 2 disperse info.

Was there ANYONE around him who he wasn't supporting financially, be it protegees, employees, "friends" or family? Was there anyone who stood up to him and said "no?" There is simply no way - NO WAY! - some or all of these people didn't know he had a drug issue. Add in his distrust of authority (lawyers, CPAs, record people, etc.) ... Who was watching the business side of his business? I don't think anyone was. He fired people so randomly. Not having a will was probably the least of his problems at the end of his life. There was apparently not enough (liquid) money in the estate to pay the taxes and overhead ... therefore the management company is paying for a portion of expenses to get PP up and running. Wasn't it Rolling Stone that said his current advisors were some 20-something girls? Puhleeze ...

Yeah ok Meron was around, but we know nothing of what went down. Jill Jones had her suspicions but did NOTHING, Apples, Brenda & Vashtie could see how skinny he was but did nothing, Dr. Funkenberry was around he did nothing yet very few will criticise them for it. I'm not blaming any of them for doing nothing just pointing out that from the outside with the little we know NO ONE appears to have done anything for Prince until it was too late.

You know what he may well have had dickheads working for him, I don't know I wasn't there but I'm sure they loved him & that is evident from Meron's & Julia's tributes posted in this thread. Isn't that all that matters? Can't this thread just be about that?

All young as hell and its cool to be young, but sometimes you need mature people around to give you the truth and to rely on. My son is 23, but he's still learning his way in life and most people that age are and his employees were no different. Obviously he liked it that way, but it cost him in the end.

// People keep knocking his decisions but he was sitting on 50 million in Real Estate. One property in downtown Minn is worth 20 million. Most people in Prince's income bracket do not have hordes of liqiud cash. They put their money in Real Estate and investments. We no idea what other investments he had or much was coming in from royalties. I believe Van Jones was one of his advisors and he is not a pretty girl.
