Hi Mumio! Absolutely understandable You'll know when the time is right and I'm confident that Paisley Park will be standing strong for whenever that is. I'm not entirely sure I'm ready either but know I won't be able to afford a second trip to MPLS in the foreseeable future...and it would seem very weird being there...and not going <in>, ya know? It's bound to be an incredibly emotional week/end. Thank you for the kind words about the plans; I'm an avid fundraiser/event planner here. Somehow it just felt right to do this as an event for the Fam, while supporting those causes in his name Here's hoping they're a success - only 3 days in and already sold 1/5 of the tickets to the first one - hope that's a good sign Hope our paths cross at a future fam get together Dance where y'are, just groove y'all.

Well my DF family, I am back and let me tell you.....some "Team Prince" middle age folks acted worse than teeny bopper Rocky Horror Picture Show attendees and the majority of them were sitting directly behind us! Jerome is as friendly and down to earth like he seems in the movies. Jill Jones, she wore some fierce shoes and with her long dark hair was unrecognizable. Loved how she emphasized the racial divide back in the early 80s, how Prince really broke the barriers for Black entertainers and in essence media because there are main stream rolls now because of the film. Apollonia.....I tried to get photos of her for our GH, she looked very good! Poor girl didn't speak too much and she tried to fight back her tears...she also mentioned how controversial a "Mexican American woman kissing an African American man" back in those days was very strongly frowned upon and yep, even in L.A. at the time, I agree! The costume designer, French (?) said Prince was adament about his blouse being snow white she tried to explain to him about the contrast needed for a more muted white but he argued that the original colour white looked dirty and dingy and didn't want to be seen in it! He told her, "Ugh, French women love to argue".... There was no q&a because the director, producer and manager were graciouslly filling us in on the making of the film and how it really is a depiction of Prince, how genius he was during the film and in his music (we know that). Who else did I see? Cat Glover....and she does not look like Cat at all..... Eric & Mani.....she didn't look traumatized to be out.... Boyer (She is a sister of someone who is a singer)..... I would've paid to just have more time to listen to the panel longer because it was really fun. The movie was not improved as far as color or sound, but it was nice to see it on a big screen. The few photos I managed to sneek I will load tomorrow. Funny that people were really staring at me, I felt kind of weird about that because I didn't know anybody there. Can't believe it's been 33 years since PR came out and I would've loved it so much more if DF were in attendance because we would've showed the other "groups" how classy & respectful we are as opposed to the them. The gal I met, Courtney from NY and I were crying throughout....and it really brought it home what happened. I am glad I did not pick up tickets for PP or the Memorial....I cannot handle that right now.
Need me some fuzzy love....and yes, I wear clear heels

Thanks Jen, you know what....I believe you. Actually for my age, I look pretty good. I will have to cut my nails because I cannot text correctly with them. I was nervous being out but it was kind of nice but also kind of melancholy too because they were all using the past tense all the time. I need a drink. I had a seat right in the front row but they did not allow questions because they used up all the time talking about putting the film together. I will contact the director and producer about the possibility of releasing the unedited film. Need me some fuzzy love....and yes, I wear clear heels
