OK - I'm not even gonna try to catch up - but last night was AMAZING! The Revolution was great, but we got Kimbra instead of Bilal, which I was a little sad about, but whatever. It was still a great concert. They sounded like they've been playing together since the beginning. Andre was SMOKIN! A lot of the guests that came for Thursday and Friday (Mayte, Mani, etc...) weren't there, but we did get the usual players. Wendy told a really sweet story before Sometimes it Snows about how P met Lisa...and held her own on Purple Rain. Of course it wasn't the same, but it's the new normal, and that's OK. It was amazing to be in such a big group of people that were all feeling the same thing. While waiting in line I met some really cool peeps - a couple that actually met on housequake and got married, and a 23 year old guy from Montreal (originally France) that had moved there to be closer to Mpls. He was really hardcore - not sure where he gets his $$ to support his concerts, travel and collection, but he was a font of knowledge and was the real deal.

Anywhoo--SUPER fun night and I'm so glad I went and got to experience this. I'm not sure where the tribute concert plans are at, but I really feel like I've done my thing now...at times it was almost a "churchy" feel (but not in a bad way!). First Ave really is a special place. Quest did a great job spinning a bunch of P classics and vault stuff and mixed in some Time and others before and after. Sorry I don't remember any specific playlists, but I was trying to stay in the moment. It didn't vary much from the other nights.

Last thing - I had a pretty decent spot near the front and some chick next to me was SITTING ON THE FLOOR almost the entire time!! Looking at her facebook with earbuds in!!! WTH??? She did manage to get up for Raspberry Beret and a couple of the other huge hits, but otherwise, I was nearly stepping on her the whole time! SO WEIRD! Oh yeah - I caught an earring!
