I am a newby here too.

My friends and family all think that I have gone a little crazy too, so I can't really talk to them about Prince anymore.

I come here to learn from, and have fun with, other people who share my interest in Prince.

Hello and welcome, I know what it's like to not have anyone to chat to about your love of Prince. I'm in the same boat and it's one of the reasons I recently joined the org. I'm so glad it is here! I hope you enjoy your experience .

Hi, Melissa. I only recently started posting here. I've been lurking for a while. I too felt I needed to be with people who have felt the loss of this beautiful man. I still haven't been able to put my feelings into words. Just knowing others would understand has been a great help.

I'm one year older than Prince. I just celebrated my birthday this week. I was in my mid twenties when I first discovered him. I had a vinyl collection that I rebought on Cd's when they came out.

I read a post the other night that I could relate to. I always joke that I was in my prime in the 80's. Losing Prince is also losing the best years of our lives for many of us, too.

I can't seem to find closure without a memorial. I bawled my eyes out at Sheila E's BET tribute. But it was fleeting. I get choked up every so often, but I just don't feel like I've purged it all out. It reminds me of how I felt during a divorce. I felt like I was carrying an incredible sadness inside me, but I didn't/couldn't cry.

I'm sorry for rambling on. I guess your post somehow enabled me to express myself.

From what I've seen, this is a group of incredible, dedicated fans. Even before posting, I found comfort just knowing they're here.
