Save Paisley Park I'm sure most of you have heard or read something about the estate looking to possibly sell Paisley Park. This could all be posturing or simply an information/interest expedition to find out if there is any real interest in the property outside of it's current usage.
I am torn...I'll be honest. There HAS to be a museum and the rich history of the place needs to be preserved. Does it have to be in it's current location to do that? Instinctively I say of course. Any of you, like myself, who have been out there knows it's out of the way. Could the main parts of Paisley be preserved someplace other than Chanhassan and still BE his legacy?
I was upset yesterday by an article in the Star Tribune about the possibility of PP being sold and it made me ask myself what could I do? What can WE do to preserve this important place for ourselves and for future generations who have yet to discover Prince?
Should we petition the Governor of Minnesota to name Paisley Park a Minnesota landmark? Would that ensure it's survival? Can we really do anything at all?
It's easy to draw comparisons to Graceland and it's not that bad of a comparison. That place has remained a museum for decades!
Anyone else chewing on this lately? Pheromone make a ni**a go crazy
