and Im wondering which lovely lady inspired this song 
Ive loved this song since 3121 first came out...it just makes me happy for some reason Hey nursev, this is my jam too!! I love it, and it makes me happy too. Lately I have been playing it when I am down thinking of the loss of Prince. It instantly perks me up. I too have wondered who in the heck inspired this song? Was it one woman? Or does 'Lolita' represent a mixture of women Prince has dealt with. I believe it was a woman or women of Latin decent only due to the woman speaking in the song in Spanish, but it could be a diversion. +++ If anyone on the org, old skoolers or newbies have any intel/thoughts, I would love to hear them as well. +++ Hope all is good with you nursev, love your topics!

I have no insight to add other than I love this song as well. In fact I'm really enjoying all of 3121 again. It was one that didn't get a lot of rotation until fairly recently. U can be the side effect, I'd rather be the dope. |

Love this album and this is cool funk. In my opinion "Lolita" is about a Liza Hernandez (a new protoge, learned about her from Militant) that he was "around" with during the early sessions of 3121. Wasn't he still with Mani during '04 and perhaps a little bit in '05? I believe that was when he was hanging with Liza.
Anyway, if it is about her it makes the song even more awesome.
Sorry if I'm rambling...just got prescribed som Valium and feelin'

My guess is this song is to Salma Hayek. Just as the song Valentina is about her. I think they might have gotten somewhat close, or perhaps a wish on his part, when she directed the video Te Amo Corazon. We are all so full of  here | |
