Prince would be proud..and perhaps he would have done this too

My new "In The Groove" album is now available on a special USB Flash Drive. The Access All USB drive contains the entire "In The Groove" album, plus bonus material: encore video and audiophiles. Also included on the drive are high resolution photos, song lyrics, set lists, and stage plots. Access All also functions as a Priority Access Pass to Meet & Greets at all my concerts as well as a pass for special discounts on my merchandise and music. That was from Jim Messina, of poco, Loggins and Messina etc.

I can't help but wonder if Prince would have turned to a usb flash drive instead of a cd as he did with 3rdeyegrl. It certainly cuts out the middleman and increases profit to the artist. What do you think?

Considering that USB music releases have been around for years and Prince never did it, it doesn't seem like he was interested in this method of distribution.
