No. You weren't wrong, John definitely said that P ordered them EACH a 6 inch sub on whole wheat with ONLY lettuce and onion. John even asked, "No mayo?"

P said, "No, John. If you eat like me, you'll look like me".

Lil' Bro would quickly learn that I would like to look AT him, not like him.. lol Mine comes with mayo and meat. For your own safety. cool

Yep! He'd have either fired me for speaking my own mind about my own food or he'd have seen just how "extra" I could be if you don't put meat on my sandwich!

A hungry Bunster is scarey.. I'm sure I could out-extra Lil' Bro if he tried to starve me like that. I'm a real woman and you don'tget curves like this on lettuce and onion. lol

My ex-husband was a bouncer at Bunker's in Mpls and tried to stop P from going backstage once because he thought P was just a groupie. From behind my ex easily mistook him for a woman as he was so petite, with high heeled boots and the nicest ass he'd seen all weekend Lol

Interesting question. I saw someone in Chanhassen who resembled him a couple of years ago (may or may not have been, not sure). He was driving a purple Prowler. I looked over only because the car was so flashy/uncommon - no doubt headed to Paisley, but over the years I'd usually seen him in some type luxury sedan or with a driver, so (although the driver looked like him) it didn't even occur to me right away. Only recently saw the beautiful pics from the early 90's of him with a purple Prowler at the arboretum (I was way too young at the time to have seen/remembered), but:

A) don't know if he actually owned that car and

B) if he did own the car, figured he must have sold it by now.

Anyhow, I've wondered ever since. Growing up I was taught "never to stare at Prince because it's rude". "How would you like it if people stared at you?". 100% true and carried that into my adult life. Clearly. :-/

[Edited 7/27/16 16:38pm]

His hairdresser has said he owned a purple prowler and liked to drive it around himself back in the day. More recently it was usually a black SUV or sedan with dark tinted windows and P usually didn't drive. There were always a dark, nice, expensive looking SUV and/or sedan either outside the front doors of PP or in the back outside by the doors behind the stage area. A couple times saw who I assumed to be P and his driver on the streets in and around the Chanhassen area. Couldn't see in the back windows at all but able to make out the driver who was not P.

At a kingdom hall in Canada.
After the meeting P was waiting for his car to pull up, my friend's dad (who had no idea who he was) kindly asked him "do you need a ride? or can I call you a cab?" lol

Oh god that is the nastiest sounding combo EVER. Of course, this has nothing to do with the fact that uncooked onions make me want to claw my eyes out. Or the fact that I hate the taste of raw onion. Or the smell of them. I'd've been like, lil man, you're gonna switch those onions to tomatos or I am gonna tie you to a pole. I am not eating that. falloff

Also, there's this guy I see around Chicago fairly often who is a darker-skinned twin of Prince, down to the height and everything. It's always a bit startling. biggrin

[Edited 7/27/16 19:25pm]

EXACTLY! He would find out just how angry a meat loving woman can be if he'd ever brought me a sandwich and it didn't have meat on it! He's have been my hood ornament! lol

[Edited 7/28/16 8:49am]

Lol I don't mind eating a vegetarian sandwich -- but I DO mind eating onions. Prince's lil ass would find out quick how that one German Shepherd felt when he bit my hand -- I bite back, son. biggrin

I've seen a few shows of the Musicology tour in NYC. P had a prescence about him, like you can just feel his spirit. If you saw him or met him you would know undoubtedly that is P!

When he was performing, of course. But he was a very humble person and off-stage it is said by those who knew him privately that it was possible to miss who he was.

Especially if you didn't know him in the first place. My mum wouldn't have had a clue who she was talking to if she had met him. cool

I dunno about that. Maybe in the later years but back in the day, even going for donuts was a bit of a spectacle. Multiple limos, security doing the ordering (well, Duane). Nothing humble about it then.

Even if you didn't know exactly who he was it was always pretty clear that he was somebody.

My best friend saw him and his bodyguards in a Florida airport back in June of 1995, at first I didn't believe him until years later when I read that he did some gigs down in Miami Beach in June of 1995! My friend said he was close enough to speak to him and said "hey Prince." and Prince smirked and gave him the "what's up" head nod and kept walking.

I know this is gonna sounds completely nuts, but I'm going to share. Yesterday, I was out running errands and walking on the street in a busy shopping center, I noticed a very "petite" man who was sitting on a bench, who had very similar facial features to Prince. He was wearing a knitted hat. I only glanced at him once, and he actually turned and looked at me. I just kept on walking and did not take a second glance, because I did not want it to look to obvious. I thought to myself "Nah", I'm just going crazy!! Now, I wish I had looked again, just to be sure. I guess I am losing it. razz

Saw him many times around town over the years. He was so respected that I doubt many ever approached him.

I waited tables with a guy who worked previously at resturant in downtown Mpls...(sorry don't remember which one) and he actually got to wait on Prince's table. I remember being like "No way! I've always had such a crush on him, he was all over my bedroom" this guy was totally straight but said "Krystal in all seriousness, he was the sexiest person I've ever met in my life"...lol

I've seen him quite a few times from 2000 t0 2004. When you see someone out of context you don't immediately recognize him/her. The first occasions, I thought I was mistaken. After a few more times, I figured it out - he was visiting with Mani and her family members who lived right night door to the building I was in. They all were just coming/going like normal folk.
