Walgreens - Prince Not sure if it's a special promotion or how long it will last, but Walgreens has started selling Prince albums for anyone that wants to purchase hard copies. I have only had his albums in digital format, for efficiency purposes but I think I may purchase some copies for the sake of collecting. The one I visited had '1999' and 'Purple Rain' this morning. I guess it may vary by geographical location.

There is nothing supporting anything you said there. So far all of that is just somebody else's made up story to fill in the gaps.

The only official thing we know is the cause of death. Nothing more. Paisley Park is in your heart

We found out he never filled out any pain meds at that Walgreens and Dr. S never wrote him any Rxs for pain meds.

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Uh. Okay. So Walgreen's is at fault for what happened now? Wow, no, take a nap and try again tomorrow.

Since we have heard nothing about the investigation I am begining to believe they may have hit a brick wall but Walgreens is in clear.

The pharmacies use the same websites that the physicians and DEA use, state by state. They can only verify by a name and date of birth on an individual, or by physicians. If he had other folks getting prescription meds in their name, it wouldn't show up under him.

. That does not say opioids were prescribed. Yes, Dr S prescribed drugs (on the 20th, same day that P was given fluids for dehydration, likely an IV). There has been NO reporting, official or otherwise, that confirms Dr S prescribed opioids.
The case would be easier to solve if Dr S had done so. There's a reason the DEA and other LE went back to PP with a full search warrant. They were looking for the source of the drugs that were "on him" and found in PP.
Remember that every Walgreens is linked. You can't go to one to pretend that you have never filled a prescription for opioids in your own name. It's like ONE big pharmacy. They are more closely tied into "watched" records than almost anyone one.
LE even went through paper prescription records for opioids, trying to find a link and aliases. .

Ouch! "We just let people talk & say whatever they want 2 say. 9 times out of 10, trust me, what's out there now, I wouldn't give nary one of these folks the time of day. That's why I don't say anything back, because there's so much that's wrong" - P, Dec '15

. I like having a CD. It keeps my music safe from computer crashes and iPod losses.
I'm wondering if there was a bunch of over-production after his death and now they're trying to shed the excess? Walgreens is an odd choice; they must sell other CDs? (I go there for my drugs, not my music LOL) Welcome to "the org", laytonian… come bathe with me.

While I am well aware of that, I will admit that the unexpected sight of them near the cash register at an unexpected retailer in a box with his logo on it kind of made me you know...happy...just as I was getting pissed at the customer in front of me for waiting until being waited on to download the Walgreens app for the coupons that she needed. Wanted to see if anyone else saw a similar sight. Thanks for the info, though. [Edited 7/13/16 17:12pm]

. I'll check next time I go to a Walgreens. I pay for everything at the pharmacy counter, since I only go there to pick up medications. THAT'S where they should have them: pharmacy, where people linger. . Welcome to "the org", laytonian… come bathe with me.
