Because I don't want to derail this thread with the jokes and whatnot, out of trying to be respectful of what you guys are doing here. However, if you'd rather I crack jokes and whatnot in this thread, or whatever, I can. I don't think it's THAT big a deal to have a different thread for a specific type of pic, especially if the intentin is to be silly (which, generally, I am aiming fr when/if I gf arund with a 'dick pic' -- I'm deliberately being goofy.).

I think resspect ought to be mutual -- maybe people are trying to have some different angles, or just want to look at specific kinds of pics,and don't mean to offend you guys.

This is the fourth thread set up for pics so it's definitely gonna be an issue for people to give credit unless they can track the original down. I posted pics in each of these threads and there were a couple of gifs I loved that I have no idea who made them but I've downloaded them and have used them on Facebook too. Don't look at it as someone stealing your thunder, take it as a complement that someone liked and admired what you did. If it's really important to anyone for credit, then add something to the gif/pic that says who made it. It's really too much to expect others to be able to track it down with so many of them out there now. Don't let this rain on your parade, enjoy what you are doing right here in these threads. Yes, please make it easy for people to attribute you.

Honestly, when I started that smiles thread, it was to create a thread of just pictures of Prince smiling for people to look at and to make them easier to find for people visiting the org. That's it. I also saw a couple of posts of people asking for pictures to be separated by decade, so I saw the thread in that vein (themes instead of time periods).

I certainly never meant to take any credit for ANY of the images. Look I've seen pages of picspam threads and nobody's repeating the names of the videographers who took the videos from which the gifs came from and the photographers who took all of those photos. I also didn't see repeat attributions of reposted pics, so I had no idea I was stepping on anyone's toes.

For people who want attribution, what form do you want it to take?

For example, this picture I found on an old thread from 2009. Now the poster (joyinrepatition) is no longer on the org but saved this to photobucket. But is this really where the image came from orginally? How would you attribute this, if at all?

Mumio... The Leafs??... bonded 4 life. It's really not about stealing "Thunder" or raining on my "Parade" 4 me. It's more about how they are being used here, @ the Org. A place dedicated 2 him. I know I can't control it or the comments that go with them.. they are just tough 2 take sometimes. Every1 can take everything I post.... except this 1! 4 1 Another

It is way past my bedtime but I had to stop by before I pass out. Today was amazing, I'm so glad I got the chance to meet Mayte. She opened up the class to "17 Days". This was the first time she was able to play any of his music in her classes and she wasn't sure if she could do it but she did. I was honored that it happened to be while I was there, that was definitely a tear jerker but I held it together. It was a really great class all around. She's so funny and just an amazing human being. Interacting with her in person, I can't imagine how anyone could ever have anything negative to say about her. I wish I had the chance to really chat with her, but it was brief. Wasn't in the cards for us this time, but she told me to attend the next class and I told her I would be there It was just a really surreal experience being in her presence. The whole time I was thinking to myself "Wow... She was married to P...". The amount of memories that must float through her mind have to be endless. She's so blessed to have had that relationship whether it lasted or not and I felt blessed just to have met her. I felt like I met a little piece of him through her.
