My hope at this point is they are doing this in true Prince fashion. That is wait as long as they can to put tickets on sale so true Prince fans will be there. I image tickets prices might be high to begin with and if they put them on sale too soon scaplers will get a hold of them and really jack up the prices. 50,000 seats is a lot of seats and if scaplers buy them all and jack up prices you might have an half emply arena cause no one is will to pay those prices. If they wait scalpers won't be willing to take the risk. This is just my hope and everyone we want to be there will be minus Sheila E

lets hope this is the case....Sheila already announced she would not be there and began her tour....which she keeps adding additional dates, at any rate Tyka did announce this official tribute in minn and they would do a tribute for the direct family in additional a tribute for the fans on the 13 at the Viking arena ....tickets were to go on sale after last weekend....1st ave is not booked. Hold on to your boots I'm positive all the stars will align...so many of the out of town fans made travel plans.

Yes. My thoughts exactly. Meanwhile... we're all going crazy waiting!! However, this wait might make it easeir to get tickets like you said. Only the "dedicated" will follow through. But, on the other hand... not as many attending might make the ticket prices go through the roof. I've never worked so hard to get concert tickets!!!

Yes, but one can't fill a 50, 000 seat stadium this way...not for this type of event. And certainly not with little or no notice.

True but that many seats are hard to fill for anyone unless your Luke Bryan or Beyonce

I disagree with that being hard to fill for anyone. I worked at a 55,000 seat stadium and there are PLENTY of people that fill those seats. If they do snag Stevie Wonder & Bruno Mars, and add Alicia Keys, Maxwell, Janelle Monae, etc PLUS all the people who sang/played with Prince...They will definitely sell out that stadium. Hopefully they will announce it on Sept 13th and officially give us a one months notice to get 'er done.
